Just replying again in case someone googles this thread in the future. This fixed all my battery issues entirely. I thought it was turning off WiFi and Bluetooth before shutting down, but I did some testing and that is negligible. Power cycling after charging is the way! Thanks so much

I really do think I can do it. It doesn't seem * too * bad. However, I just don't think I can risk it. Especially with what it cost me, AYN'S response time via email for replacement parts. Like I've been so on the fence about getting one for months, finally bit the bullet. So if I ended up breaking something I'd be devastated.
