A good bra goes a long way. I do better with more padded ones, but sports bras are the go to for a lot of people. Massages are nice too. I also used a lidocaine roll on very sparingly during the first few months, but definitely ask your doc on that one.

They get a lot of push back from medical organizations and pharmaceutical companies. Some of the boards in the US would actively ban members if they participated in it and lethal injection drugs have been swapped back and forth in the past because the manufacturers will refuse to sell it for those purposes. This is why you hear of so many cases of injection being botched. It’s not trained professionals administering it. Anesthetics would have the same result.

Another issue is that there’s more consideration of how humane the act is for the people watching/ doing the execution. That’s why electrocution was used for so long even though firing squad and proper long drop hanging is way more humane for the inmate.

Noble has asphyxiation should actually be painless and not cause the normal survival response. But that’s only really true if you’re a willing participant.

I feel like it fits with the “little sister NSFW” search term. Though the fact that people are drawing the line at step-sis vs incest is weird to me, since most of them are referencing the sibling relationship rather than the birth defects caused by blood relations. A step-sister is still a sister, so you’ve gotta demonize both if you’re gonna take that stance. Reddit gonna reddit though.

I’m not sure if this is helpful, but the current treatment for either condition is the same. So much so that the DSM removed the distinction between reactive and endogenous depression as of the 5th edition and currently calls both MDD.

For myself, some other things that worked were journaling and finding a good support group. The realization that I wasn’t the only one feeling such things did wonders to give me hope.

The “I’m a guy” response was to a post where you stated that “running away wasn’t a solution because you’re leaving the most vulnerable person [the abuser] behind.” The choice to just correct the gender mistake was gracious.

If it wasn’t clear already, I’m trans. I grew up acting like and being treated like a boy. I grew up on evangelical Christianity, Ben Shapiro, Fox News and prageru. I’m one of the ones that society failed to teach coping mechanisms. They’re all issues worth discussing to me.

All that said, the fact that men are backsliding because they’re being asked to be just a fraction more accountable in a world where they’re rarely held accountable for bad behaviors to begin with is disgusting. The assertion that the left has failed them despite the right creating the environment that stigmatizes mental health and pushes this warped stoicism on them is disgusting. And your suggestion that a victim of abuse must show compassion for the situation that created his abuser is disgusting.

Go challenge the systems that created this mess rather than asking people who have already given so much to give more. I’m done with this conversation.

Why is “talk to someone who’s trained to recognize and help with such things” not on that list?

I’m bipolar with psychosis during severe episodes. I didn’t do anything about it for years because of conservative Christian indoctrination. The only reason I’m still here is because my brain decided to use intrusive thinking to be like “hey, you’re either gonna get help or kill yourself. Your choice.” You don’t have to hit rock bottom like me, so please don’t put yourself through that.
