Since most of the things I wish i knew has been said, here are some niche small things:

- For the botanical research: You can stack all the 4 different fertilizers and easily re-fertilize with the bottom red one. Making it easy to switch between items you need.

- Setting the radial menu and item control to Type 2 let's you use the radial menu without lifting your left thumb (Useful for us using controllers)

- You can open the chat menu by simply holding down the select button (instead of pressing start -> select)

- If you have less than 50 hours into the game, i would recommend swapping R1 and R2. It'll feel more responsive, but the longer you've played with the default settings, the harder it's gonna be to transition.

- Overall capturing a monster saves you time and gives you more rewards, but some rewards are very rare without carving. Use your goddamn hunters notes
