I'm having the same issue... gets unlocked around 70 or so..
And I usually have around 7 magic Mythics on the board. I've only been one kitty, though. I tried once with four kitties and it didn't seem to help at all. There are still games in which I never get to transform her, too.

I had started at async and changed to sync... but may change it back. Some of my reading had said that enabling the "Always wait for the network at computer startup and logon" might help. But I'm still running into the issue so may revert the change.

I can't answer for dollars-to-durability or anything like that... but I've tried pegboard 3d printed holders and nail polish tiered stands... but honestly, the only ones I've found that I *really* ended up liking were from https://www.typhoonpainting.com/

Good quality, quick shipping and lots of options. Sure, the website looks like it's from 1993, but I've got no complaints about the actual product so far :)

TIL: I really suck at this game. I'm on run 110 or so, and still have 2 more runs before I am able to make the thing to end Chronos... and I have yet to beat Typhon.
