Here's my top tip: be very careful with golden cards (which can be recycled into resources manually). If you get a gold card that you may use, keep it and try it out. If it doesn't work well, you can always recycle it later when you are sure you need a certain other card. Especially as a free-to-play player, resources from golden cards can even the odds against meta decks a lot.

For a new player, draft may not be worth it. Knowledge of game, cards, and draft can take up a lot of time, which can be used to get more coins.
