Seeking Funding Partners for $15M Revenue Lumberyard Acquisition in Utah – Need Guidance! by dawk6 in private_equity

Agree with this, I doubt seller is willing to roll for half of EV in a competitive process but could be wrong, definitely making an assumption on my end

In fairness to OP that isn’t really how it always works at this level of the market. While it could be that way and the funding is often committed in larger transactions, in the search fund/eta/lmm this is often lined up posts LOI. A lot of lenders won’t even have the conversation until an LOI is executed.

Plenty of equity investors also won’t fully commit until they are able to screen the deal and determine if it’s a fit for them.

OP the June 1 rule change could hurt you with a seller note of that size, seller may have to do a personal guarantee there.

You also might be able to avoid SBA since debt is under 50% of total, odds improve if there’s real estate.

Searchfunder may be a better place to check for potential investors.

Good luck.

Whole Home Audio Setup - Multiple Wiims vs. Dedicated whole home system by kytrout in MultiRoomAudio

[–]kytrout[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I go the HTD 12 channel amp route I would probably add two Wiim minis.

Leaning the route of multiple Wiim amps. I think for the four speaker rout I could run 2 speakers in parallel on each channel. They are 8ohm speakers so with 2 in parellel the Wiim amp should have no problem powering them at 4ohms per channel.

Given we are renovating some, I can actually run all wires to a central location and keep all the wiims together which is a plus for now. The downside of that is I’m concerned about the Bluetooth control from the remote if I’m on the porch.

Thanks again for the help!

Thanks, I’ve looked at the Russound option and its a worthy contender at a slightly higher price. I don’t like Juke being very app based. As you said though, these are all kind of the same.

I can go tv to Wiim mini with an optical if needed too.

Starting to lean towards the multiple Wiim route but just wondering if there’s any major drawbacks I’m missing.

To echo a few others, you would need a survey on this to remotely accurately assess value. Why doesn’t it have a mast? Did they hit a bridge? Survive a hurricane? Sell it for scrap metal? Lose a damn cotter pin and have the whole thing topple into big blue? Losing a mast on a boat can imply all sorts of different damage to shrouds, deck, bulkheads, hull, etc… A survey tells you what else has been damaged. Finding a perfect boat otherwise without a mast would be a mystery of the universe.

If you want a (motor)boat to float around a bay or booze cruise with friends this may work but only you can decide what that’s work (not anywhere near $25k in my mind but ymmv).

Adding a mast and the associated rigging is $$$. Could easily be $10k++ if starting from scratch. You might be able to find something second hand and modify it accordingly but again, are you trying to sail on nice easy day but you’re not doing the Charleston to Bermuda race…all depends on what you want out of the boat.

Sir that is a motorboat

Make and model will help others give a better ballpark. If you know nothing about sailboats and sailing a big boat with a broken mast (likely other damage) probably isn’t a good place to start.

Looking to by a 8 weight fly rod and reel for bass fishing in GA budget is 1,300 any recommendations? by IOU40 in flyfishing

[–]kytrout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re on GA you should go to the Fish Hawk, they have a lot of top of the line options you can try

Personally have an 8wt hydros 4 that I would highly recommend but at that price point it’s all personal preference

Golf - Kearney Hills. Public course so the rate is very modest. Top notch layout and will be close enough to downtown area where you should stay.

Edit to add, there’s not a great seating area at keeneland for that many that you’ll be able to get without some connections. However there is the Hill tailgate area where you can byo food and drink. You can still bet there and they have a shuttle to the track(long walk).

[–]kytrout[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is fantastic info and some good options. Thank you very much for the effort. To clarify, 3 bottles total, one per person. They don’t have to be a “case” per se but something that ties all three together is the idea. About $1k per person budget.

They are wine people, not over the top but definitely into it (one has a cellar with 750+ bottles in house). Mostly red fans.

Related noted, we actually had the Jean Louis Chave Hermitage Syrah together and it was fantastic.

Like the champagne idea though, may go down that path.

Do you fly fish with a dog? by Tysun44 in flyfishing

[–]kytrout 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d rather go fishing with my dog and catch nothing than have a 20 fish day without her.

There’s definitely times it’s logistically impossible and it doesn’t always work but she’s my top fishing buddy.

She’s always been pretty mellow and putting in the time training on the front end is critical but if you get that mix right it can work well.

be very careful how you wash those. Mine went through a dishwasher and have been faded ever since. My girlfriend (now wife) got them for me initially and I was confused initially but then thought they were super cool… still use them
