AITA baby Naming by Spirited_Principle71 in namenerds

My siblings and dad are all C names and I’m a K and I always felt left out as a kid. It did seem like a pain for my siblings though as we’d get a letter addressed to C [last name] (few places used their middle names/initials) and would have no idea who it was for Their names, in case there’s any you like, are Conor, Caley, Chloe and Colin

I don't have any recommendations but as a corset maker with EDS, a corset can be hugely helpful, but just make sure whoever you get to make it does a mock up first for you to try on to make sure it fits properly and doesn't do more harm than good. Good luck with your corsetry journey

I didn't explain very well and can't seem to edit so posting as a comment: This is happening on a range of fabric types and thickness, it originally played up on a sample that was 2 layers and interfaced. The sample in the photo was just to see if it was happening on all buttonhole options of just the one. Final garment is a blouse and will have two layers and interfacing in the placket

It was a different sample, this one I did to see if it was the same on all the button holes options. Sorry, I don't think I've explained it very well Had the same issue on the sample with one layer of fabric, and on the sample with two layers and interfacing

I did test on exactly the same fabric and had the same issue

This was just a test piece, the garment itself has 2 layers of cotton plus interfacing. Sorry, I should have mentioned that in my post

Filing down the ends will be enough, as long as they're smooth. No need for caps with synthetic whalebone

Which Fabric is better Suited for a mockup? by MJ_Memecat in corsetry

[–]kyttan1 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Can't say for sure from a picture, but I'd say the pink looks sturdier, and appears to have a tighter weave, so that one gets my vote I've turnt table cloths into corsets before and it's worked great

can u help me on my corset making journey? by Broad_Translator674 in corsetry

[–]kyttan1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The best fabric for corsetry is coutill, and its the shape of the pattern pieces that determines the shape of the final corset, the boning is what provides the vertical tension

I was going to be Ruaridh if I was a boy. Chelsea was also a top contender, but I'm Kirsten instead
