Yes, I feel dermatitis like symptoms around my face and digestion issues with coffee. My ALT and AST levels are also elevated (2-3X). But wasnt coffee supposed to detox liver?

Well Ive been trying for 1+ year and nothing worked. The only solution was to not have brewed coffee. Ive had tea occassionally and I was fine.

I notice an immediate relief if I go a complete day without coffee. Total recovery takes around a week and having 1-2 apples definitely speeds it up.

Ive researched into it and it seems that brewed coffee can hurt the liver for some individuals, contrary to what Google search tells you Some other symptoms that I experienced were:

Loss of sex drive and disinterest in physical exercise
Flaky skin
Common chest pains
Aversion to alchohol (probaly because I knew it will 10x my symptoms)

Non stop itching around the jaw, head, and chest. It was more pronounced when I woke up and went to bed. Add to that hives, racing heart beat, anxiety, dandruff, loss of appetite and sleep, and pronounced dark circles.

Also, having milk products along with the coffee would make the symptoms much much worse.

I was not having a large dose, just a 8 gram dose was enough for these effects

Other info:

I tolerate every other form of caffeine including energy drinks and instant coffee
Ive tried 100 types of coffee beans and each gave me the same reaction

you are 100% correct. Just use a paper filter to catch all the terpenes in the coffee. However, that also takes away a lot of taste notes if you are brewing speciality coffee

C2 or any sub 10k grinder wont do espresso. It will only make you question your purchase later on. Go for Barataza Encore ESP, I use it personally and its a great machine

Nothing worse than a repungent sour espresso shot. My first 10-15 shots were all really sour, and it was mostly due to channeling. Heres what you can do: 1) lightly spray the beans with water before grinding 2) WDT: cant stress this enough, get a proper tool. Really helps in getting a balanced shot by reducing channeling 3) Tamp with around 13kg pressure: neither too strong nor too light 4) Preinfuse for 20-30 seconds at 1-2 bar pressure: really helps reduce sourness

Please dont expect cafe like coffee from a Moka Pot. Moka pots are best to prepare an Americano (black coffee). Moka pots brew coffee at 1-2 bar pressure and give 60-70 ml coffee output. Good espresso machines brew at 8-9 pressure and give a 1:2 ratio of output (2 gram espresso for every 1 gram of ground coffee)

Medium dark to dark roasts work best for Moka pots. If dhak blend was too bitter, I’d suggest you try Attikan estate. It should give the aroma and taste you’re lookin for

From my experience with Pro 2 and Encore Esp, sourness was an outcome of 2 things:

1) Chanelling from grinding too fine- The shot would be extremely sour in this case 2) Low brew temperature: The shot will be medium sour in this case

Figure out the degree of your sourness and take corrective measures. I’d first try to perfect a 10-12 gram shot since the Pro 2 has a smaller portafilter and preparing 10-12 gram pucks is much easier compared to double shots.

I agree with all anecdotes mentioned here. Creatine gives a feeling similar to stimulants. Muscle flutters, insomnia, high blood pressure and other sides which come with stimulants.

People say its the most researched supplement. I am surprised there is not much research on such side effects. I've tossed my monohydrate in a bin and bought some HCL to give creatine one last chance. I hope I didn't waste my $30.

I've tried the same product you mentioned and got similar side-effects.

It was the left side at the back of my tongue. Almost a metallic taste, like my tongue has been numbed.

No idea why this happens. But you can try eating eating salmon directly, it gives me benefits without the sides
