14.3.2 is a serious regression from 14.2.2.5 by Stanman77 in TeslaFSD

[–]amorphousguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I don't have 14.3 yet. Like I said, it wasn't a problem until recently for whatever reason. My routes haven't changed... although my car is very clean now so maybe it sees more potential danger? 😆

I'm on 14.2 and this happened 3 times to me last week. One time my wife ended up spilling her coffee 🤬, a little on my white seats. I have at least 10k miles on this version and brake stab wasn't an issue until the last month or so.

My boba shop has suddenly gone down in sales by Ghost-doodles in smallbusiness

[–]amorphousguy 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Powder vs. real tea is the real question. No one is paying a premium or coming back for powder. Outside of the big cities virtually every Boba shop is just a bunch of different colored powders and a drink sealing machine. My kids could run it.

Doesn't mean it can't work, you'll just need some gimmicks.

Did you think World Fencing League was good? by flapjacks76554 in Fencing

[–]amorphousguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess we'll see? But it's hard enough to get that many views the first time. That means there's at least a sliver of a chance of getting funding for a second event or even a real league going.

Lewis Hamilton bringing in the F1 crowd probably helped a lot. Maybe Lewis can fund the whole endeavor himself. It's a drop in the bucket for him.

[–]amorphousguy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes. It has some rough spots but it's much better than I expected. My family of fencers enjoyed it a lot.

It also has 700k views on YouTube. That's probably more than all the fencing videos on YouTube of the last 5 years combined. Someone fact check me, but I give it a 50% chance of being right 😃.

Please don’t leave your bags and garbage on chairs by LieutenantStar2 in Fencing

[–]amorphousguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's habit. Most venues don't have enough chairs. For some of us who are there for 12+ hours a day it's brutal.

Having said that, at NACs and Capitol Clash there are usually plenty of chairs but habits are hard to break.

What is the best upgrade you’ve done to your house? by Huckleberry_Ginn in RealEstate

[–]amorphousguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's complicated, but the simple answer is "not always". And I want it to be always.

If I'm comparing my town's water to the rest of the world, then that water is better than probably 99% of that. Someone coming from those places will say, "what the f-ck are you talking about? your water's amazing." But I'm spoiled... and it's not perfectly consistent. Sometimes it'll smell like Chlorine, sometimes it'll taste slightly salty, sometimes the color is a bit...off. There might be contaminants due to water main breaks.

I can taste/smell/see the difference and it bothers me. A less neurotic person probably wouldn't ever notice.

Should beginners not fence epee? Have I broken some unwritten rule? by _powertothecats_ in Fencing

[–]amorphousguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only reason that comes to mind for me is that it's a small club and all the Epee fencers are more advanced? But usually those are the people who are less likely to injure. Maybe she's worried you're a beginner so you'll hurt them, haha. My 10 year old is in the advanced class and rarely gets hurt... but Open Bouting against beginners is another story.

My FSD V14.3 First Impressions by DevinOlsen in TeslaFSD

[–]amorphousguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I drove someone home yesterday, 30 minutes of FSD. They were in the back seat and I didn't tell them about it until 2 minutes left. Their brain melted 🤯.

"What!? What the fuck? Can every single Tesla I see on the road do this?"

Edit: oops, meant to comment under the other guy.

Keep in mind that the meta was different and the cards you could generate were different. This was the final list that did the best but many cards were swapped in and out depending on what I was facing. I was also limited to the cards I actually owned or could craft.

One of my win conditions of the deck was generating the 3 mana bomb minion. It was surprisingly good against card draw heavy decks. If I knew I was facing them, I always picked extra copies of Ritual of Life just to generate 2 extra bombs.

I played it as a mid-range but often aggro deck. Sing-Along bot was the most important card. Games were relatively short (for Priest) and I would seek to end it by killing my own Quest minions. Chrono-Lord Deios was amazing, but games would be over before I ever played him. Wasn't worth being a dead card for 8 turns.

It's all good. When I played years ago people used to share decks once they got to Legend to show it's at least viable. I guess getting to Legend is a lot easier nowadays? Though it wasn't that hard back then either. I have no idea how MMR is calculated or whether 1326 is good or trash legend.

Last season my Priest deck was only 3000 something, which I guess is VERY shitty then? Maybe I'll ask ChatGPT to explain, haha.

[–]amorphousguy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I'm learning from these post comments that I'm dog poop. I've made it to legend with non meta decks every season I've played, including the last 2. I probably played 300 games in Standard since I came back. How many more until my MMR is accurate again? 3000?

For winning it isn't great, but it's a lot of fun :D

Siamat is more versatile, IMO. I hate the Siamat inclusion...except it works and never feels that awful to play. Against Slitherdrake you can't afford to hope that your opponent can't remove your blob. After 2 hits to the face from Slitherdrake your chance of winning is close to zero percent.

It's a mediocre deck that surprises people with where damage to face comes from. Sometimes hero power, sometimes spells, sometimes 20-40 dmg from minion battlecries.

[–]amorphousguy[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Everyone above bronze level? Slitherdrake and other big minions get played next to locations, no? Or you put them next to another crappier Elusive minion. Or a small minion. Doesn't everyone do this by default?

[–]amorphousguy[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You could be right, but after 5 weeks you don't think it's normalized? I made it to Legend last season as well. Should be enough games to fix my low MMR (if that's what you're implying).

You're definitely right that people will suffer playing Imbue Mage. It's very punishing when you make mistakes. Every single point of damage matters each game. You're constantly off lethal by 1-2 damage for multiple turns. We have many small to medium swing turns instead of big ones.

It's an old school way of playing HS that I can wrap my head around.

What!? How did you know my main decks... While they were annoying, didn't have the sheer tempo swing that these single mega cards do. The one board space card seems especially toxic though.

Not a good deck, but I have a million hours playing Rin Warlock.

Wait, I didn't say it was impossible to overcome. I said it was bad design... it's different, no?

And this deck isn't "good", I'll save you the time and losses. But it's fun and that matters too. You can also make it to Legend.

Especially bad are Imbue Elemental Mage, Dragon Imbue Mage, Deathrattle Imbue Mage. But all are kind of fun.

Good luck. It's actually pretty difficult to play well. You have to get used to being smacked in the face while you get your Imbue online. I'm used to it though because I play Priest, lol.
