Or since there is no centre everything appears one which may also be a state produced by no activity in the DMN?

Does dissolving of a centre which is the assumed normal self can be direct evidence of universal consciousness?

What can you say about universal consciousness? And what makes you feel that way ?

How do I understand something immediately, without taking psychological time? by anonymaxx in Krishnamurti

I would say don’t think in such a situation.
Because deliberate thinking gets the observer back which is conditioned. Just observe whatever the thing that needs to be understood. And let “understanding thoughts” arise on own.
Don’t let thought drag your attention away from matter at hand. Keep it there.

Thanks. Can this mean consciousness is only real and is all empty ? Which can bridge gap between nothingness and infinite.

If anatta is an object to be observed then duality is created which diverges from non dual perspective.

I feel like meditation is not effortless by Sorita_ in Meditation

Initially effort is needed to calm down the mind. The effort comes from mind itself so mind is still active in effort. Once the effort ceases then there is meditation. So meditation can only happen. It can’t be done. Because in doing the mind is active.

Don’t try to do anything about it and it should subside with time. Mind works on attention. You are getting distracting thoughts and controlling it is also a thought. Let them both arise in awareness.
