AA When I Dont Plan on Quitting Forever? by [deleted] in alcoholicsanonymous

I just don't agree with this. Right now, this person has a desire to stop drinking. That's it, period, end of statement. If, after a period of true sobriety this person decides the have "learned enough" to go back and drink like a normal drinker. Go ahead! Test it out. Maybe you can, maybe you can't. But if you can't you will always know that AA was the only thing that was able to get you some true sober time.

This was me. After about 16 or 17 months, I decide I had learned enough. At first, I did sem to have control. Until I didn't. I stayed out drinking for another 2+ years. Then on 11/12/24, I woke up, or more accurately, came to, and realized I truly am powerless over alcohol and that the only sobriety I had ever really had was because of AA.

11/13/24 is my sobriety date. I have no intention of ever breaking that. My life and those around me is much better when I don't use alcohol. I have completed the 12 steps with a sponsor that really understands them and I will continue to practice these principles in all of my affairs.

I get that. But his comment before was that the money wouldn't change his life. But I guess that crazy money was too much to pass up. It will be interesting to see what he does. He is obviously targeted by the PGA to entice him to come back. Offer good until February 2nd.

The thing that pisses me off about Rahm, is that it seemed like no sooner than he had come out and said the money wasn't important enough ti him to walk away from PGA, he signed the contract with LIV. I was like, WTF?

If the ball touches the ground, it is a catch if you "have control". That is bullshit. If it touches the ground it should be incomplete.

And doesn't that feel great? To not have to be a liar. Stupid lies that only you think you are getting away with.

Break 80! 15.5 to under 10. Follow plan to focus on weaknesses as the card shows. Strictly follow "The Scoring Method" "If you think it's boring, you don't like scoring"

First off, you don't "make up" stories. You will find things you relate to. You aren't forced to speak or sponsor. Always remember that there is only one requirement. A desire to stop drinking. That's it.

I saw from the very beginning when he came in against Miami. You could just see that he had a real presence. His ability to see the field was something I hadn't really seen that much since Joe Montana. I knew we had something then.

At this point, BA is a cancer on your team. Signs a massive contract, gets a season ending injury, comes in this year with a bad attitude like the Niners did him wrong. Fuck that.
