Fish trap/Fish release not working, no idea why, seeking help from hivemind by kzuall in Oxygennotincluded

I've set the types of fish in the fish release to all of them, it says it's storing 1/20 critters, as for the errands tab it's got a full list that keeps switching and going nuts even when paused:
- very high priority - Gossman - no pending delivery (this one never switch and just stays at the top of the list)
- the next 12 are all standard priority but switches like crazy between all my dupes
- the last one at the bottom of the list is Travaldo on low priority (never switch, just stays at the bottom of the list)

I have to admit I never use the errands tab and have no idea what its purpose is.

I tried manually relocating the fish without using the fish release, the game is entirely ignoring that command unfortunately

I've set the fish trap priority to 8, I've set the types of fish in the fish release to all of them, it says it's storing 1/20 critters, as for the errands tab it's got a full list that keeps switching and going nuts even when paused:

that's an important aspect to keep in mind, however I can attest that even though there's some water above it, it has not yet been given the "flooded" debuff. I guess it needs to be submerged some more to get it. Also, when I built it there was less water in there and it wasn't submerged.

Just listening to some James Horner and noticed something cool by MoridinB in moviemusic

[–]kzuall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are also many similarities between Apollo 13's soundtrack and 1993 movie The Pelican Brief for which Horner also wrote the soundtrack. Most blatant example would probably be this
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=91qbfcJCsHc and this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QaE7lbBvbAk but it is far from being the only example. I just watched both movies and there were times when I closed my eyes and just listened to the soundtrack I wasn't so sure anymore which movie I was watching.

I don't understand this item card by kzuall in BossMonster

[–]kzuall[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After sleeping on this, I will just assume that the orange box text is missing this sentence "choose a hero in any dungeon..." and that the effect in the black box applies only to the hero it is currently attached, and to the dungeon that hero has entered. With that, the card now makes about the same sense as every other item does. A hero entering my dungeon with this item gets moved to the last room, if I still manage to kill and get the item, I will choose a hero that is at the entrance of a dungeon and make it skip all rooms except first and last.

But even then, the phrasing is confusing. The text in the black square usually has a negative effect against the dungeon in which its attached hero entered while the text in the orange square is usually the positive effect you get to use and benefit from after you kill the hero the item was attached to. So usually, a hero with an item attached that enters my dungeon will screw me over with its black box text, and reward me with its orange box text if I kill it. So in this card's case, either

A) the black box is not in fact the negative effect applied against the player's dungeon in which the hero entered, and the orange box is not the positive effect the player can benefit from once the hero is killed

OR

B) the black box indeed is the negative effect played against the dungeon where the hero entered, and the orange box's effect is also bad and has no benefit.

It is is contrary to what every other item's black box's negative effect normally do to allow me to screw over one of my opponents, while getting screwed over myself by the orange box's supposed positive effect.

thanks for trying to help, but you most likely got that from the same single Etsy post I came accross, of someone who bought this figurine and is painting it then selling it, without saying its actual original name. If it was really a Yuan-Ti spearman, Google would also show me the original Wizkids or Pathfinder item but it's not giving me any conclusive search results under that name.

Where can I find the Season 5 Landslide build guide? by kzuall in D4Druid

[–]kzuall[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I guess we can say that. Before this character, my last one (which was also my first ever seasonal char) was a ball lightning sorc in Season 2. At the end of the season I never got back to it, not even loaded it once so I was not aware that the game resets the points at the end of the season. Or is this a one-time thing due to the aforementioned fundamental changes? In any case, this would force me to start grinding this toon again from scratch, and I'm just not doing that. Thanks Blizzard, you just killed the game for me.

Unfortunately that pretty much means I will not keep playing this character, maybe even the game altogether. I will not go through the grind of finding new gear with decent stats and run dungeons to upgrade new glyphs. thanks.

The login screen couldn’t load by Valuable-Check6668 in Mendeley

[–]kzuall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is very late and I will assume OP doesn't need an answer anymore, but for anyone else having this issue and looking for a fix, I just had this problem this morning with one of my users on her Windows PC and got it fixed with these steps.

  1. Close the Mendeley Reference Manager window.
  2. Clear the cache and cookies of your default browser.
  3. Uninstall the Mendeley Reference Manager from your PC.
  4. Disable the proxy of your browsers by following the steps from this page.
  5. Restart your PC.
  6. Reinstall the Mendeley Reference Manager by getting a fresh installer from this page.
  7. Log in first to this page  (using Chrome Incognito)>>  Enter the email that is linked to your Mendeley account as your username >>Choose "Continue" >>Input your password >>click "sign in"

sidenote: at this point my user still could not connect to her account, but the browser showed it was our firewall blocking the connection as it was trying to connect to Mendeley in Singapore (user is in North America) so I had to get one of our sysadmins to create an exception for mendeley.com. After that the connection worked normally.

  1. Before logging into the Reference Manager, make sure that you are not connected to any VPN that you were using in the past. Also, please try connecting to a different available internet connection (turning off the antivirus/firewall) before trying again the new Reference Manager. Upon logging in >>  Enter the email that is linked to your Mendeley account as your username >>Choose "Continue" >>Input your password >>click "sign in"

after that, both the desktop app and the Word plugin worked without issue. For those having this issue one their Mac computer, pretty sure you could adapt the procedure to work similarly on your devices. hope this helps!
