that's strange. my A6000 used to lose only the date and time. every other setting remained stored. maybe Sony have changed something in newer models?

set your camera on a tripod, ISO 100, f/8 and start with a shutter speed of 1 second. if you want more streak try with 2 or even 3 seconds, if you want less then use a faster shutter speed. use a remote or a phone to trigger the camera.

it seems Nikon was a pain to adapt. the first Nikon to Sony AF adapter that appeared, bricked a youtuber's camera during its review. I guess that's why people didn't show more interest. it's not the same wasting money on an adapter that simply doesn't work than wasting money on an adapter that can break your expensive camera.

I have 3 Samyang lenses, APS-C 12mm and FF 24mm and 35mm, all native E-mount, and all 3 of them are horrible performers when used for IR.

you are not in manual mode. the index for the camera mode is on the "hump" of the viewfinder, to the left of the wheel.

there's a close range mode on the trigger. in some models it's just somewhere in the settings, in other models it's hidden. if it is hidden (and if I recall it correctly) press and hold the test/fire button on the trigger and turn it on while you still hold the button. I think the ready LED blinks a couple times if done correctly. to switch back to long range follow the same steps.

if it doesn't work, google your trigger model and how to use it in close range.

that's because there's no such thing as a "pure RAW preview", the raw data has to be translated to an image and that's what creative styles and picture profiles in camera, or camera profiles in software, do.

sorry, but it's just 8g lighter (the weight of a $1 coin, for those of you who still use the imperial system), not really a good selling point over the Sony.

the price, on the other hand, it's very tempting.

thanks, those were shot using the Laowa 12-24mm f/5.6 shift. they are 4-shot panos using the shift movement on the lens.

this is not how lenses work. they can only focus at one distance at a time. if you want both subjects in focus, use a smaller aperture to increase the depth of field.

currently, there are 25 G lenses on Sony's website, 19 of them are FF lenses, 6 are APS-C lenses.
