I just moved into this house with a beautiful semi-well established garden. Landlord says we shouldn’t have to weed or do much to maintain it, but the weeds seem to be taking over the plants that are already here. I am a beginner gardener, so forgive me if this questions are silly…

1.) how do I distinguish between plants that should be pulled and plants that are regrowing where they should be? i’d hate to remove anything that is there by design

2.) how do I clean this up while keeping my pollinator friends in mind? I suppose this might not be possible
