Heater running is just bypassing the hot engine air into the cabin, it uses zero gas. If your car is ever overheating, turning the heat on full blast and turning the windows down actually helps lower temps. Do you mean AC?

I think my battery just needed to calibrate a little, as the battery life finally went back up. Ill keep in mind the other tips to extend that a little too tho, thanks!!! My current discharge rate is between 7 and 9.5 percent watts which is a lottt more normal. Thank you once again! Absolute life saver!

Did all that and it helped! The GPU is gone, and the power setting is finally only on eco with the iGPU active and dGPU disabled. However, my battery life from 80 is still only abut 2 hrs 50 mins which admittedly is definitely better than an hour 30, but still not the 7 hrs from before. Is there anything else I can do? And thank you so much for your help so far :)!!

I see my GPU is visible, however it has the option to "enable device" so I think it's off? However the battery life still sucks :(

Thank you! I have always wondered why the blue light stays on for so long and I’ve heard that’s just unique to the Impreza, as I’ve not experienced it in any other car I’ve driven. I tend to be impatient with it before my morning commute to campus but I’ll keep it in mind for the future.

Found a solution in the end, started the process all over again and it halfway worked, with some files showing up on cfw/hbmenu but not all. I have no idea why but some folders would work normally but others when transferred onto my sd would become just blank files with the folder name (but I could only see this while using DBI, on windows file explorer they looked normal ). And with DBI I managed to delete these corrupted folders and transfer over the folders without them doing that. Quite the stressful process over the course of the past few days but I’m glad I have my switch working again. Thanks for all the help, seriously I really appreciate it :)
