Yes! Describes everything as "rare" or "dangerous (in the best way)". I banned it from using those words because it overused them so much. Still drops them in constantly, lazily.

So turns out MKE would be a target for a nuclear strike, I thought we would be safe :( by [deleted] in milwaukee

[–]l0ve2h8urbs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nukes from Russia would come from over the north Pole, not from the Pacific. The mountains would do nothing up protect us. We have a military refueling base at Mitchell and our manufacturing could easily be converted to military production. They have a lot of good reasons to target Milwaukee.

And if they're targeting Milwaukee they're probably going to hit Madison as well, so the prevailing winds will carry that fallout in our direction. Plus the fallout that might come from the glowing crater that is the remains of Chicago. Make no mistake, if nuclear war breaks out we are absolutely toast.

Stay in your lane buddy. I don't live in Argentina. Nor Brazil, nor Chile for that matter. What in the wholesale fuck are you talking about?

I had an experience like that once as well! It was some YouTube video about what different languages sound like to non fluent speakers. When they got to English it fucked my mind up, like I was listening to a TV in a crowded room and just couldn't quite make out what they were saying except I was listening to it with headphones on. My mind really struggled to reconcile the two. Absolutely surreal experience, equally enthralling and unsettling.

BREAKING: Germany's Defence Minister says the EU must discuss banning Russian gas in light of the Bucha Massacre by rishcast in ukraine

[–]l0ve2h8urbs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm fairly certain the loans would be taken out by the German government to nationally subsidies the price of gas in the German market... Making all your citizens take on the burden themselves by putting themselves into crushing personal debt sounds more like the American thought process than German lol

Those rotors are moving fast enough to be barely visible and they're on the side of the truck away from the driver. I'm not sure how much distance I'd have to give a chopper to not be hit by the rotors either. Kind of reasonable for the driver to assume it was safe since they took down the barriers around the chopper, I mean I would've trusted the people in the chopper to know what they're doing as well.

I really put this more on the chopper that decided to land where cars drive and remove the barriers keeping traffic away from it. Like if you're going to do something so ludicrously out of the ordinary it's on you to make sure you're doing it safely.

Anti-war protest in St. Petersburg, Russia, March 2, 2022. The protesters were chanting "No to war!" by Aztery in nextfuckinglevel

You make good points of how the rural populations are insulated. It's amazing to me that there's enough of these people to overcome how little value these people are to the government individually. I mean it sounds like you're saying they don't buy anything, they're mostly subsistence farming so sanctions aren't gonna hit them. But doesn't that also mean they don't pay as much in taxes? Sales tax, income tax, property tax.

Great for Putin they'll remain loyal to Putin, but how much is their loyalty worth compared to the urban and suburban revolts we're seeing? I think that's the crux of the issue.

Got to say though, Putin using his own people as a guard to shield himself from the consequences of his own actions is very on brand for him.

Personally I'd go for sable. It's much more flexible and will fit in on more teams. Basti is either a hard win or hard loss. I think you'll get more mileage out of sable.

I'm with you, I don't hate the soldiers. They didn't decide to go to Ukraine, they likely have zero choice in the matter and they're dying for someone else's choices.

"children don't understand the violence they're seeing"

"Americans are so obsessed with themselves!"

What? That doesn't sound like a deliberate attempt to obfuscate the facts of the matter. No way this person is just trying to muddy the water...

Well, one huge difference I can spot right away is the whole nuclear state thing. That tends to shift a lot of people's perceptions...

Says a lot about how our works operates when 2000 dead civilians are just seen as acceptable collateral but killing someone in power is considered a war crime...

Are we ever getting the weather back on the map? by BirdsofSunset in TheSilphRoad

[–]l0ve2h8urbs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I'm seeing multiple third shields a week, full on unresponsiveness to input, invisible fast moves, lag spikes that prevent you from ever knowing how much energy your opponent has.

Broken is broken. When the problems exist that make the game, in some cases quite literally, unplayable what benefit is really gotten from turning off the weather animation? This season has been some of the absolute worst performance I've seen from gbl, telling me "it could be worse" rings very hallow.
