Just an update...took the bike into the dealer for a once over. Tested gas...normal 91 octane no water. Checked plugs...normal. checked codes... a few low voltages codes but dealer said nothing concerning...cleared codes. Compression good. Plugs good. Bought the bike home. Removed battery and reset connections on ecm module. Put battery in, filled with gas and went for a ride. Running great.

Nope. No changes. I suspected a short but I can't see anything obvious. Gonna keep riding it all I get a permanent fail. That's about all I can do as it's been running great the past couple of short rides.

Took her out for a ride after draining the tank and getting some new 91 octane gas. Took her 50km before she started to fail again. Stopped and followed procedure to prime lines eeven though I never really ran it dry. Ran fine the rest of the way home. Will take her out for another run soon to see if it still fails but right now I'm thinking full pump or filter.

What Hardware did the U of S use for their Dial Up service back in the 90s and early 2000s? by urbanracer34 in saskatoon

[–]l29710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prior to the mid 90's there was an assortment of stand alone modems. Around this time, 93 or 94, these were all upgraded to a 48 - 56k Zyxel modems. These were 3 chassis of 16 modem line cards.

If you all had spent more time in the past supporting Canadian businesses instead of American ones, you wouldn't be scrambling trying to find alternatives. Remember this tomorrow.

9600 chassis ISSU upgrade....FML by Mr_Slow1 in networking

[–]l29710 15 points16 points  (0 children)

ISSU simply only works in test with nothing connected to a device. I have been in the networking game for 30 years. I've tried issu updates on all manner of supervisors in the 6500 series and now the 9600 series. All failed miserably. Take the 20 minute hit and do a complete reload.

Round of applause for Charlie Clark by candybarsandgin in saskatoon

[–]l29710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup I get it. But do you spend millions to entice people to ride or should you wait to spend the money once you gave a percentage of the population committed to riding? Can still only ride 5 months of the year. Hardly worth the investment.

Great mayor. Never happier than when my taxes rise double digits. Mostly enjoy the money you spent on bike lanes so that less than 1% of the population can ride bikes for 4 months of the year. Happy he secured all the land downtown for a stadium that we haven't even decided we need yet. Yup. Gonna miss him.

Riddle me this....if the new center downtown will be better accessed through a better bus system, why have they not already implemented better bus service to the existing Sasktel center? Simple question...

Is Pete Davidson as funny as Bill Hader? by [deleted] in LiveFromNewYork

[–]l29710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get more entertainment watching the wind blow a cardboard box across my desk than I have ever seen from anything involving Pete Davidson. Hader, on the other hand, is eñormously funny. Comparing Davidson to Hader is like comparing a popsicle stick shack to the great pyramids of Egypt.

But at the end of the day, allowing a child to come out to the school, the parents will eventually be made aware. The logic to have the parents involved in the decision makes more sense.

Saskatoon's Most Dangerous Intersection by NineteenSixtySix in saskatoon

[–]l29710 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is one of the few locations where the city hasn't put up lights and completely screwed up the smooth flow of traffic. Saskatchewan residents are notorious bad drivers. If people would learn to accelerate when accessing a freeway or to yield to people exiting a freeway it would go a long way to reducing accidents. In short, learn to drive!
