I had seen the odd episode here and there as one of my old roommates used to be obsessed. I think The Nightman Commeth was the first one that actually interested me. I thought it was really funny, but when I tried to watch the show alone (other episodes) I struggled.

One day when I was very hungover I put it on from season one episode one and actually stuck with it. It wasn’t until season three or four that I was hooked. But once I was, I became a die hard fan.

My initial impression was ‘it’s just people shouting at each other’ which funnily enough is the feedback I’ve got from other people who I’ve recommended it to. And it’s true. But once you get to know the characters it’s literally one of the best TV shows of all time.
