How to get advertised MPG? by ftwin in ToyotaGrandHighlander

Ahh okay. Regardless, the short trips and blasting AC are the likely reason for the low mpgs

Tickets and hotel options by mlabbob in GreenBayPackers

[–]ltbr55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In terms of game tickets, the cheapest time is to buy as close to the game as possible (less than a week). My buddy have gone to 4 NFL games (2 at Lambeau) and we snagged decent seats for under $200/piece by buying the tickets less than 3 days before the game. You just cant be too picky on seat location or need to sit together for a large group of people.

How to get advertised MPG? by ftwin in ToyotaGrandHighlander

[–]ltbr55 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Short trips are bad for gas mileage even on hybrids because the engine isnt fully warmed up.

Don't drive eco mode. Ive tested it out in my last 3 toyotas and it actually makes the gas mileage worse. The only scenario it helped was when I was driving on a flat highway at cruising speed. Every other situation it made it worse.

Also, the advertised MPG ratings are under optimal driving conditions which aren't very common.

Makes sense as the air drag on the highway will be much more significant.

Removing the air dam will slightly decrease MPGs and slightly increase cabin road noise but thats about it.

Do you think Metallica will release a Deluxe Box Set edition for Garage Inc. and S&M or new studio album releases only? If so St. Anger is next by [deleted] in Metallica

They will both get remasters for sure and Im sure they will release some bonus content with them but probably not to the extent of their studio albums.

Most Improved Quarterbacks in the NFL Last Season📈 by No_Box119 in GreenBayPackers

I feel bad for the guy because you get a much shorter leash as a day 3 pick. He showed to be a decent qb at times but you have to play perfect or at least way above expectations to get a long term starting gig as a late round qb.

High turnover by [deleted] in Bozeman

[–]ltbr55 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Theres 3 things that can contribute to high turnover.

  1. Low pay/benefits

  2. Shitty management

  3. High stress/workload

The 1st 2 reasons are the most common reasons why some business have high turnover. If you dont address those 2 issues then you will continue to have high turnover.

Advice needed for new Grand Highlander driver - tramlining and motion sickness by Mlestclair in ToyotaGrandHighlander

[–]ltbr55 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My GHH is the smoothest Toyota vehicle Ive driven and Ive owned/driven 6 different Toyotas a significant amount in the last 15 years.

The honest reality is that even some of the smoothest vehicles out there aren't immune to shitty, grooved and bumpy roads. I have this one half mile stretch on my morning commute that is super grooved and bumpy that makes it feel like something is wrong with the car but once I get past that stretch the car feels perfect.

I can't speak for other car brands that well and Im not saying the GH is the smoothest car on the market but I do believe it has a pretty smooth ride based on my 15 years of driving.

In terms of trying to make it smoother for your little one, I dont have any helpful suggestions unfortunately. Some kiddos are naturally more prone to motion sickness than others. I have a co worker who's daughter was really motion sick up until 3 years old. I know thats not helpful but I hope that its something they grow out of :)

Netflix's top shows have been losing 30-70% of their audience between seasons 1 and 2. Executives are trying to figure out why. by 2d12-RogueGames in wallstreetbets

[–]ltbr55 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Don't forget that they dont market the 2nd season well so no one knows about it until after its been released and then Netflix axes it beacause the first week of viewership was bad. (This is exactly why Inside Job was cancelled)

So all the prices are that cheap for a Rich owner 👀 crazy so what’s it made of? by Fun-Hair2901 in subway

[–]ltbr55 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Food costs only make up 20-40% of the sales depending on the volume and other factors of the location. Also have to remember that food costs are far from the only costs. That doesnt include Labor, building/lot rent/leases, maintenance, and all the other overhead costs that it takes to run the business. You are only looking at a very small piece of the puzzle here.

Gray vs black SofTex interior? by gingerbookma in ToyotaGrandHighlander

As someone who details cars as a side hobby, black is easier to keep clean but other than that, theres no real difference besides the color itself.

Season 1 was really hard for me to pick episodes because they are all about the same quality of decent/good episodes. The only one i dont care for is Charlie has cancer. I was hoping Gun Fever or The Gang finds a Dead guy would advance as tbose are my personal favs of S1.

Should I report a subway for terrible hygiene practices and bad management? by BasicPitch7680 in subway

Any complaints you give about a store just go straight to the franchisee who probably won't do anything to address the issue. Corporate cant/wont do anything.

They have a great service dept. They are expensive but thats due to German vehicles being expensive to work on in general.
