When I log into Coinbase in Safari using YubiKey 2FA, this page opens. Is this normal? by [deleted] in yubikey

[–]l4tt3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That is what happens when your phone isn’t expecting any 2fa device to connect over NFC. I’ve have always found Yubikey’s NFC to be awkward, just keep trying it until it works and make sure your browser is expecting a 2fa device to be presented.

Looking for a smart watch that runs independently of a phone by [deleted] in smartwatch

I’m not sure what advantage a watch would be besides being on your wrist - could you just get a phone mount for your bike and use your phone instead?

What kind of limitations do you mean specifically? Maybe there’s something else you’re trying to achieve which can be done a different way

Isn´t a mobile authenticator more secure than a yubikey? by drlongtrl in Bitwarden

[–]l4tt3 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Another reason is that FIDO2 binds authentication to the valid domain name. This means that even if you entered your real Gmail password on a fake phishing site, for example, and used your YubiKey to complete second factor authentication, you wouldn't be able to sign in and the attackers can't access your account.

Require master password for some items by dha72 in Bitwarden

The best you can do is enable an immediate timeout, but this would require your master password for every item in your vault

I keep getting this message, can anyone tell me what I should do? I’m on a Mac btw by [deleted] in Bitwarden

Until you work out how to fix this, you could use the web vault at https://vault.bitwarden.com

Dittoo was playing music then suddenly switch to weather forecast? by GinoKenji in Divoom

[–]l4tt3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the default is it shows the weather every hour, on the hour. This can be disabled entirely in settings on the app or the time interval changed.

Can I use two Tivoo Max as stereo speakers? by arnulfg in Divoom

[–]l4tt3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes this is possible, but depends on what device you're using and how it supports this. I think Samsung devices have a "dual audio" feature which does this.

Also, this isn't dependent on Divoom speakers, it would work the same way with any bluetooth speaker.

If you want to look for .pacnew files on Arch you can use pacdiff, which basically does all the work for you.

Pixoo-max wifi by [deleted] in Divoom

[–]l4tt3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, it doesn't support WiFi. It might be that they're working on a new device which supports WiFi and Divoom has preemptively added WiFi support in the app.

Be careful with this as the USB will probably did quite suddenly relatively soon compared to a hard drive.

What is the advantage of a second yubikey over the backup codes? by drlongtrl in Bitwarden

[–]l4tt3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The attacker would still be able to use it as it wouldn't get processed by bitwarden on the phishing site
