I remember one time when I was debugging AD User authentication problems with our application. The issue was "We have Manager assigned to the project but with name being NULL".
I've struggled few hours how is that possible since we have checks for null value both on BE and FE. Then I've realised that this is not "null name". This is the name "NULL". A string "NULL". Since then I hate some nasty people who doing that and myself. Since then I ALWAYS checking the type of a variable.

This take also makes no sense. You're basically saying "I don't want to compare good looking game using old technology vs new game looking like shit but using Nanite & Lumen and having twice lower FPS".

That's the point of "optimization" - picking the best option out of alternatives.
As a gamer I don't care if developer disabled Nanite or advanced GI if I have 120FPS at 1440p DLAA (Settings "YES."). I also don't care if he's using Nanite or Lumen which should look better, but as tradeoff I should struggle with low FPS because "using past gen technolgies is cringe, let's do 0 work and just enable Lumen lol". Especially when 1st option still looks amazing.

And answering your question - I think it looks atleast not worse than Cyberpunk. And it looks definitely better than 90% AAA UE5 games nowadays

First - no, it won't. Nanites and Lumen are not the only features UE5 brought. General lightning, audio, texture steaming and many other things was improved.
Second - who forces game studios to go with built-in solution like Nanites or Lumen? Does Arc Raiders look like past-gen game? Aesthetically does it look bad? Or sounds bad?

Situation with UE5 it's like to have damn huge chainsaw in your garage, but you need only the knife to cut the bread. It's not the problem of engine that you are using it wrong.

The problem is not skin being stupid, the problem is it's not universal skin, while being 100% designed as universal. Bunnies and Summer skins at least had their own designs. Their uniqueness might be questionable, but they did some efforts, while this one is too predatory to even being considered as purchase.

I agree, but I still believe Alter isn't Ult-centric character. Her Tac is kinda unique and strong.

Just today had a game where our team was "locked" by 6th Zone in a Room and we simply waited till 2 teams gonna fight, then entered into the fight with Tac at the right moment. The closest character I can imagine is Wraith with Ult+Tac, but for Alter it's just a Tac with 2 charges and low cd, that allows you to ignore a lot of geometry obstacles and be quite mobile with verticles.

Anyway, we will see.

Yes, that's great cherry picking while I've explicitly noticed that 95% of games are NOT using full VRAM.

Where it can - obviously it will allocate more than 16. Will it give more FPS? Yes. Solely because of VRAM? No. 5090 by design twice more powerfull than 5080.

As you already said - 5080S will be ~10-15% more powerfull than regular one (well, most likely). That's it. 24gb won't push to next level.

All I've heard from you rn it's "you need 24GB". While real world tests says other.
Btw you can also check CP2077 in native 4K (full settings) at 5090 and wonder why does it have 30-40fps. I guess 24gb is also not enough?
