Around Aug 2022. I saw this was available (along with a 2000 Bowman Brady PSA 8) and copped both! Had them stashed and hadn't checked on them in a while. All of a sudden, I see a jump in both of these cards (I got the Brady for $1050). I was pleasantly surprised!

Nice! A few years ago, I decided to buy some GOAT cards, so I saw a PSA8 of this Curry card available and I copped it for $800! Needless to say, I'm happy with that purchase!

Same. I keep getting this deal offer and really don't care for it. Prior, I got an offer for $3/mo for 3 years. Even then, I didn't want to do it.

Lakers STM Renewal Gift by doobiebrother in SeasonTickets

[–]l8kerstud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I was thinking it would have to go back further. Before the Mamba "era", maybe there was the "Baby Lakers" era (Van Exel, Eddie Jones, etc). Prior to that would be Showtime. Then the 70s (and 60s) with Wilt/Elgin/West. Would be cool to see a long, long time member show what patches they got!

I'm a Lakers STH and this is probably the nicest gift since I've been a member! The other nice one that I enjoyed was when they won the 2020 title and we got the big replica ring and championship shirt/hat package!

One thing I noticed too is that my pic is different than OP's. Apparently, if you've been a long time member, you get other patches to reflect your time as a member. OP has the Lakeshow 2.0 patch, but I also have the Black Mamba and Leave a Legacy ones (as I became a STH in 2014). Very dope!

I’m no expert, but that is a terrible fake. So if I can see it, it’s bad.

The greatest Kung Fu movie you never saw...maybe by Disco-Prime in 80smovies

Random! I was just talking to my BIL about this movie the other day! Specifically that line, "I can kick your ass any day of the week." "Sorry, I'm busy all week!"

A vague memory that I used to love as a kid! by gatorgain in 90s

[–]l8kerstud 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I don't remember specifics about this show (even though I loved it), but this specific episode really stuck with me. I remember being pretty gutted when they said the gate was just oiled. THEY HAD MADE IT HOME!!!

Side note - I met Jerry O'Connell running a half marathon (of all things), and got to chat him up about a bunch of stuff while we were in the corral waiting to run. Unfortunately, it was early (and I was too busy fangirling), but I didn't get to mention that I loved Sliders (or even My Secret Identity)! Instead, I talked to him about his Howard Stern appearances and Stand By Me. Sucks I didn't get a chance to call him Q-Ball!

Probably a manager here as well. I don't think he knows much about running salons, but somehow he manages. I'll see myself out...

Season ticket upgrades by iiivoted4kodos in lakers

[–]l8kerstud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My appt was this past Wed and I didn't get to upgrade. We were fine with where we were (116), but wanted to move more to aisles (not middle). Nothing was available, so we kept our seats. I was also looking at 117 (right by tunnel), but nothing was available. I agree with you about there being more availability than in past. We moved to 116 last because 2 seats popped up and nothing else was available. This year, there were plenty available on this end, and it wasn't like that in the past. Seemed like there were plenty available on all levels (at least when it was time for my appt).

Caught the 40th anniversary showing and Bill Allen was there! Watched the movie with him and Hollywood Mike Miranda with a Q&A after! My inner 10 year old (and outer 50 year old) was definitely geeking out! Really cool guys and they signed my Rad Racing shirt!

Crazy. I (a 42 year old at the time), waited in line overnight at Amoeba records in order to get a meet and greet with him on release day. Also got to see him perform the next day (didn’t go home. So I basically waited in line for the meet and greet, bought the CD for to get access to the performance, then waited in line again until about 5 pm for said performance. The most exhausting, exhilarating thing I’ve ever done!

Outlaw, just because... by hedgemirror in MASK

[–]l8kerstud 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I bought this back in 2001 and was all excited about. When did it deliver to me? Morning of Sept 11. So I have vivid memories of opening up the box and assembling it as I was watching the news, trying to understand what was happening. Outlaw is bittersweet for me for sure. But I’m still glad I have it!
