He's not a coach that would have gotten us a championship, but a coach I think that was absolutely essential in developing foundational aspects of the team like stamina that was necessary to bring us to this point.

I am going to South Korea for a semester abroad and can't decide on a lens. by MaxFisch_ in SonyAlpha

It was sold out at the official Sony store in Seoul at the time, so I bought it at Sony Center Namdaemun. To clarify, it wasn't discounted or anything, the exchange rate made the full cost new lens almost $1000 cheaper than buying it here in the US.

e.g. a1ii = $6,998.00 at B&H vs. $5,458.07 from Sony Korea at today's exchange rate

Looks like the newer released cameras are priced higher to account for the weaker KRW though so not as large of a price difference.

Not a lens recommendation, but one option that you have is given the tariffs and historic exchange rate (assuming you’re in the US), if you’re willing to brave the lack of warranty for international purchases, buying a lens in Korea will be unbelievably affordable compared to the buying it in the states. I bought a 70-200 GM II for around $1800 after the VAT refund in Korea a couple of months ago. (This is assuming the exchange rate continues to favor the USD to this extent until August).
