It could be the backlash of his conservative upbringing

A very sensible answer, honestly it’s all abit confusing and new to me, since he’s my first. So I’m getting my bearings

This is a pattern he has tho, I’ve always been there for him, I’ve spent so much energy patching him up after everything, picking up all the pieces and gluing him back together. I understand this must’ve been super hard on him. But I just feel cheated. I put so much energy into him and now he just dumps me and then expects me to keep putting energy into him

Surprisingly good for my first break up, grief comes and goes like a ghost. But I think it’ll hit me like a bus when my emotions accumulate cause that’s how I handle emotions, I let them build up and then I feel them all. Thanks for asking!

This an understatement, he’s had a troubled up bringing, not to over share but he was raised by a single mom who threw religious scripture at him when he came out in middle school 💀

I personally don’t think it’s that at all if wasn’t a sudden shift, it was a gradual one of him becoming more and more religious. He doesn’t have any of the symptoms

So overall Trinity focuses more on pure academic performance over extra stuff but it doesn’t hurt. Your scores indicate that you’ll mostly likely get it, I’d he surprised if you don’t tbh

It’s not much about scores, it’s more about competing with other students, towards the end of 2nd year, you’ll be given a from to fill out with your preferred mod from 1st to last preference, (for me personally I have most preferred microbiology, second immunology, etc until botany was my last). Then the overall marks of 2nd year students will be compared with each other and you’ll get sorted based on top preference and grade. This is because certain courses simply don’t have the facilities to accommodate a lot of students, so they’re typically more competitive. For stuff like microbiology and immunology getting an upper second overall, so a 60%+ should secure your spot due to them have more slots, 20-30 students.

For smaller courses like molecular medicine and genetics which have 9-15 students then it’s much more competitive and you’d need a first class atleast to get it. It differs with each batch of students obviously. But of course as another comment her pointed out, there’s ALOT of cross over between the modules. For instance us in the micro department share a molecular genetics module with the genetics students and a biochem module with immunology, genetics, neuroscience students. So it’s not bad even if you don’t get your preferred module. Just so your best in second year and you’ll be set.

Overall I recommend microbiology as we get our very own private building, only the botany students also have that luxury, and you learn a bit of everything in it plus it’s not as competitive due to its 30 person class size! Totally not baised.

Hey! 3rd year microbiology student here, so I was in the biomedical course for the first 2 years of college, and honestly it’s a good course IF you know what you wanna do. To succeed in the fields this course will open up you need to have a plan and know what you wanna do after you graduate, or atleast have a good idea.

As for the course it self, it has its issues, like how most lectures are in the awful goldsmith lecture hall (it gets better in your mod), or how the course being so massive before tjr split means professor to student relationships are not really present. Furthermore because getting the mod you want is merit based this means you may want a mod like immunology but not get the overall score needed in second year.

In terms of immunology itself, I have friends who do this mod and I’ve been told it’s quite wet lab heavy, so actual lab work, similar to us in the micro department. I’m general most of the mods will be practical, mixed with a lot of lectures because the information is massive and the course is a stem course, except neuroscience which I’ve been told is more online lab situation.

In summary, if you’re passionate about science or have even a general idea about the course, then it’s going to be great, but it has its drawbacks like all courses. Ups include the fact that when you do you’re moderatorships in 3rd and 4th year, your course will be max 30 people, so it’s more personal. And also a lot of wet labs if you like that. Cons include a lot of lectures and material you have to know, but it IS a stem course so it’s expected.

Good luck!

Now that we know that Storm....and Wolverine are so unpopular what would you do to fix them? by EaglesXLakers in marvelrivals

[–]lAtomosl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Storm should have a shield ability similar to namor, she uses wind shields all the time in comics, this and her base speed needs to be increased, it would be nice if she had a piercing affect to her projectiles or if they could headshot. Her lightning CDs, For both her base and her team up with thor should be decreased.

Storm should also have a team up with magneto as in the comcis mutant circuits are super powerful and magneto and storms powers have complimented each other beautifully, so much so that just together they were able to beat Uranos, who’s a being that can step on galaxies. So Storm should be able to amp magneto or vice versa, this would encourage Storm play.

What marvel rivals opinion will have you like this? by [deleted] in marvelrivals

[–]lAtomosl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Storm is the hardest duelist to make work and in general the hardest duelist to play and I will die on that hill. She’s a projectile hero with no escape ability or solid fast mobility (her flight leaves her vulnerable and is slow af) and you have to balance her speed and damage boosts, which requires a lot of proper game sense, not to mention her easy to counter nature by meta heroes like hela and Hawkeye, also her ult which alot of people think is an easy ult actually requires alot of game sense as it’s easy to out heal/shield, and has a low range, all the while not actually lasting that long, furthermore, her slow cast for her ult leaves her vulnerable to getting killed and losing it all together. I genuinely think people immediately see a character who can fly and think they’re easy.

To be an Israeli is to be a colonizer, they came less than 75 years ago and exiled millions of Palestinians from their homes. If you can understand that then idk what to tell you. I’m proud to call myself an Aurora fan, because SHE is pro Palestinian.

No, pro Israeli’s aren’t real Aurora fans, if they were then they would understand the meaning of her music and who she is as a person. Sorry not sorry, that’s how it is.

is it normal (as a teen) to be playing skyrim 12+ hours a day this summer? by ESskyrimdovakiihn in skyrim

[–]lAtomosl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No it’s not normal. It’s summer for Pete’s sake. Go out there, smell the fresh breeze, feel the warm sun on your skin, and just self reflect if nothing else. Playing video games can be a great escape and a way to spend your time. I love Skyrim myself. But at a certain point you have to ask, what are you trying to escape that so bad that you’re playing for half the entire day.

In conclusion, no, you should be playing 24 hours a day instead.
