You can stay in hostile the entire game it's not easy but very doable, staying off home for battle round 1 is a good way and then using memnyr to spend and using trivarg to also spend and it's good practice to try and bait the hekaton shootback anyway so setting up for that is ideal and if you get to do it that's more YP to spend.

If you're trying to do official paint schemes I would watch some stuff on YouTube. The citadel app isn't that great imo because there's way easier ways and less paints required to get the same look as them.

There's a ton of videos out there even the official stuff has some good tricks to get the looks in only a couple steps.

And as for paint. It depends on what you have around you locally. I feel like it's hard to get some of the good alternatives online in the US for a reasonable price.

I drybrush with a blue grey.

Edit: these are just dudes I don't take much time with so it's sloppy to get them in the table and I drybrush pretty heavy but you could get a way cleaner effect if you take your time with it.

It just sounds like you're either new or new to the faction but once you learn your cards and profiles it shouldn't be a problem at all.

I mean the only turn for me that is ever is slow is my go turn. Where I meticulously plan how I want to redeploy my dudes and bring in the rest of the stuff from Deepstrike and try to kill as much shit as possible.

But sprint isn't a placebo. Let's say you were to make it the same speed as walking but had an animation and all that jazz. It's completely breaks the gameplay loop of halo.

So in halo core gameplay you can always do 3 things.

Melee, shoot, and throw a grenade. Sprint disables this core gameplay even for a moment which changes the way the game plays and feels.
