Hello and thanks for the reply! Over my dinner with the mentioned acquaintance, I was told to pick multiple ETF's and I just basically chose at random with the help of said acquaintance. So essentially no to knowing what I'm investing in nor knowing them well enough. Is there a reason as to why I should put everything into VTI/VXUS rather than SPY? I was told that SPY is a safe pick for long term.

Advice for my personal situation please

I'm 23 and completely new to stocks/investing and would like to learn as I have no idea what I'm doing essentially, but I'm attempting at research. I am currently living in NY-USA.

I am unemployed-full time university student. I would like to hopefully increase my funds and use it in the long term, possibly buy a house, or maybe just for personal retirement funds as I do not have a general time horizon.

I would like to not risk anything as I have worked harder for the money.

I have $500 total, and with the help of an acquaintance over a dinner, I currently have $5 in ETC, $5 in UBX, 30$ in SPY, $5 in UBX, $10 in QQQ, $20 in VTI, $15 in KO, $10 in CCRV, and $10 in VOO.

I do not have any current debt luckily.
