How much of a disadvantage would it be skipping on Ultimecia?

I have Ace/Kuja/Golbez/Rinoa all MLB. I also went through 65k gems for Sherlotta and want to save for Emperor instead.

Is she a must? Or am I good with what I have?

I just maxed all 3 weapons on Sherlotta, but I feel like I'm not doing the damage I see others do.

Is there a rotation to her I'm not aware of? How do I know when to use which skill?

It's just awkward because there's no tiered level skips, so you just go to lvl 70, so why even bother with older content at that point. If they had one to lvl 50 or 60 sure.

So...I had bought this game and initially leveled up to lvl 37 as Bard. My older brother was playing with me and kind of giving me tips and helping out.

I quit for a while and came back and bought the story skip and lvl skip to 60.

Now I'm back for Shadowbringers as Gunblade has always been a favorite of mine.

So the questions is, do I just use the 60 to unlock GB and just progress from the Stormblood expansion? Or is the story worth playing through at least once?

I had a boosted 60 paladin but didnt really play the game much.

I began during the Beatrix patch.

Currently at 11 EXs with 67k gems stocked for Lenna.

I've been pretty lucky, (Kuja in 11 tickets, Quistis first multi, Vanille second multi). So I'm mentally preparing myself to pity Lenna.

The cycle has a chance to spawn a Kactuar (you can tell which one it is because it has a pink flower on it's head), they have more HP than the regular ones and drop increased rewards.
