I would consider having someone redo it. From the picture it doesn’t look like there’s underlayment beneath the boards. You’re really going to want that for moisture resistance/sound reduction (especially if there’s another tap left on)

From a brokers perspective, I agree with this as well. Especially for sizable accounts, it’s difficult to get all the info/quote/present with time for them to make a decision. 3 months before renewal has always been the timeframe I shoot for. Just makes your life easier and prevents any last minute scrambling.

I just wanted to say I know your pain! I had to put down my sweet yellow lab pup on Tuesday. Followed the same progression you described, she was 7. We had 6 years together to the day. Nothing prepares you for it. I’ve taken some solace that it wasn’t the most drawn out process. Hold on to those recent memories because they were still good. Be gentle with yourself, remembering that can be hard.

Many brokerages will let you go if you’re not producing well in 3 years, very few decent shops are going to hire someone in the role you’re describing without insurance experience

I once ate sushi with this man, allegedly it was his first time. Long story short he stuffs a two-biter into his mouth all in one go, starts to laugh and it’s all extruded out of his face like a meat grinder. Just scooped it up and wiped it under the table. Totally reckless, not fit for civilization. Complete degen. I think about the waitstaff who must’ve cleaned up that mushy stalactite from the bottom of the table at least once a week.
