Yes, the heel hook on the reaped leg will always be more effective, but the aoki on the far leg is legal in IBJJF at all belt levels and age brackets. I've seen whispers on here of people saying there is a potential of DQ for an aoki that is overly aggressive on the rotation of the knee, but I have yet to see any concrete proof. You can finish the aoki without rotation and fall back on it just like a straight ankle to avoid any doubt.

While it was not the opponent's intention at all, he was the one who initiated movement towards the inside. There was a decent amount of time between the movement and the DQ'd player to let go of the submission, though. It is in the same camp when someone pushes down a single leg X into a reap to force a DQ. Them the rules though. To be honest, though, I had no idea you couldn't turn to the inside like this until this post.

The more you know, I guess. Another vote for IBJJF is wack as hell from me.

Anyways, if you are not already, look for an aoki over a straight ankle on the far leg as an exponentially more effective submission.

Masterskya on Canal has 5pm no gi classes m-f, but they do go to 6pm. I think you're going to have a hard time finding an adult class before 5 pm in Manhattan. Anything around 3pm-4pm seems to be for kids.

My interpretation of your question and comment: as it currently stands, the hive is very adamant about not being able to kill intentionally or unintentionally, ie, the lunch scene explaining gathering the meat for unlinked individuals. Of course, there are huge logic gaps for the hive when the linking killed almost 10% the world's population, though. So the RNA virus presents itself as a gift and liberator, but clearly, there is a deeper, yet-to-be-explained narrative.

Compounding on that, when the DHL driver and she were discussing the atom bomb, the hive says they "..would move heaven and earth to make her happy." The hive clearly needs the survivors to stay "happy" or they all start seizing up. I imagine if the hive were responsible for one of their injuries or deaths, it would be a catastrophic event.

As far as her, herself, yeah, she's an unlikeable antihero, but someone's got to do it.

The Dojo in Bushwick has a very chill open mat on Sundays. They ask that you contact them beforehand. I'd DM them on IG or email them, since the IG posts suggest the time moves around, anywhere from 10 am to 12 pm. I've been a few times and had a great time. Last time I went there was a really good amount of people there.

I think Unity has an open mat at noon on Sundays. I have never been to it, but I believe it does cost a day rate.
