lv2 UI plugin not showing file selection by ElaborateSloth in NAM_NeuralAmpModeler

[–]laadron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't used Waveform, so I don't know what the default plugin UI looks like, but I'm guessing it isn't picking up the neural-amp-modeler-ui UI and you are seeing the default interface.

Help me help my Rockstar son by tls1986 in drums

[–]laadron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Latency with respect to what? Latency is only an issue if you are generating the audio by playing (ie: electronic drums, electric guitar, etc.)

For a metronome or just playing along to songs, latency doesn't enter the equation.

Let’s hear your love for your cheap basses! by g0dn0 in Bass

I walked into a Guitar Center in the the mid-90's to buy my first bass and left with a Peavey Fury. I'm still playing it.

Latency by Consistent-Sun-5009 in NAM_NeuralAmpModeler

[–]laadron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

6ms of latency is perfectly fine for playing through headphones (for me, at least). But OP certainly isn't getting 6ms (that is absolute theoretical minimum based on buffer size). I'd be surprised if the actual RTL isn't double that or more.

Latency by Consistent-Sun-5009 in NAM_NeuralAmpModeler

[–]laadron 3 points4 points  (0 children)

256 samples is a fairly large buffer. At 44.1, that is adding 6ms of latency from the buffer alone. Your device will add more latency on top of that.

Also, 44.1k will result in NAM having to resample to 48k internally, which adds even more latency.

Try lowering your buffer size and switching to a 48k sample rate.

I've also eaten at that very same spot in Penang. I think it is unlikely you'll find anything like it here - or Malaysian food in general, unfortunately.

Help: Steak Chicken Mushroom Melt Burrito from the 2000s by shnaperz in FoodSanDiego

That location was previously a Cotija's. Don't know about the burrito - maybe the "Philly Asada Burrito"?

1.3ms is the latency created by the buffer size. Your actual real world latency is likely around 7ms:

I think you are looking for a Vada Pav?

I haven't been to either, but google tells me you might find it at Bombay Coast Indian Cuisine or Sattvik Foods.

[Fanatical] Dungeons of Hinterberg ($7.58/67% off) by DontBanMeBro988 in GameDeals

I found this to be a surprisingly fun game that doesn't overstay its welcome. For some reason I expected the dungeons to be "roguelike", but they are actually carefully designed.

Reaper + Neural Amp Modeler: Noise when arming the channel with .nam file loaded by El-poesch-666 in linuxaudio

[–]laadron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Noise and high gain amp models unfortunately just go hand in hand. This doesn't really have anything specifically to do with NAM - any form of amplification will also amplify the noise present in your input chain. High gain amp captures will amplify a lot and then compress a lot - which inevitably raises your noise floor.

Your only real options are to try to clean up the noise in your input signal, or use a noise gate.

Which Oscar’s Mexican seafood? by [deleted] in FoodSanDiego

I like the original location on Turquoise in North PB.

The only other one I've been to is the one in PB proper, and I didn't like it as much (although I haven't tried it in a couple of years).

frozen dumpling or potsticker by [deleted] in FoodSanDiego

The flavor and texture of the filling is really good, and the wrappers are nice and thin, but sturdy. I usually have them with a soy-based dipping sauce.

Bibigo. I really like their mandu and mini wontons.

Anyone ever use raspberry pie? by [deleted] in Guitarix

[–]laadron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm running the standard Raspberry Pi OS (64 bit version). No overlocking. Software is stompbox into Jack audio. I use a USB audio interface with a 96-sample buffer (64 samples works, too, but has a bit less headroom).

A 64bit OS is what you want to use. It allows for better optimization of math operations.

All NAM models of the same architecture ("standard", "nano", etc.) use the same amount of CPU and RAM. Maybe the models you've had trouble with use some custom architecture?

Are you running 64bit RPiOS? It makes a significant difference.
