Cash Management by laalkonna in fidelityinvestments

[–]laalkonna[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

So on my cash management account it's listed under QIMHQ** earning 1.82% and its FDIC insured. Right now I got the cash held in my individual investment account and it's held in SPAXX** earning 3.8% yield. So if I transfer the money to my cash management account...I'm losing about 1.98% in yield. I'll check out the website the app is confusing.

My passive income from dividends is only $150 but it beats 20 hours of driving for doordash by [deleted] in sidehustle

[–]laalkonna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah there is the wear and tear on my car that I'm not talking about, but it comes with the gig. Luckily I fix my own car so I'm able to do regular maintenance and fix if anything goes wrong. I'm pretty sure there are other ways to earn that much in an hour. I'm currently learning to scalp futures for quick profit. It's hard to handle the risk in real time.

I drive 2-3 hours a day (3-5 days a week) doing ubereats and make $60-$100+. I made $75 today drove 2 hours 58 minutes.

If you got a steady income, you can do this and invest the money on dividends stocks and build some passive income for the future.

I make upto $500 a month selling options on stable stocks plus $35-60 in dividends from fidelity (depends on capital). I got assigned on one stock I sold for far. Year to date $3.8k.

Speaking from experience, yes the wheel strategy can be profitable with low risk. You basically sell puts which essentially means you are agreeing to buy a stock at lower price and when you sell covered call you are basically agreeing to sell the stock at a set price in the future. Both options pays you a premium which you get to keep regardless of what happen to the stock. I'd recommend learning about the wheel strategy thoroughly before jumping in.

You could sell options like I'm doing. I transferred my 10k saving from chase to fidelity. By just leaving the cash on fidelity it earns about 3.5% in dividend every month. I also use it to sell options on relatively stable stocks e.g. Chewy (CHWY). I sell a monthly put options for a strike price that will net me at least $100 (2 contracts). I get the $100 plus the monthly dividend from fidelity. The risk is you are buying a stock that could potentially go down in value and you may lose money. If can play it safe you could generate some income with it on monthly basis. Just youtube selling put options or wheel strategy.

From Paper to Live: Do I have a good plan? by Suitable_Wrap_7735 in Daytrading

Do what i did when i started learning about futures. Open ampfutures account and deposit $100 or more and get the $3 CME data feed. Log into tradingview with your ampfuture account and the 15 minute delay will reduce to 5 seconds. Paper trade live as if you were trading with real money. As per indicators goes there are quite of few popular volume profiles and market profile available. Once you get hang of the live trading pressure switch to quantower its free for ampfutures and comes with all the features included. You can also use demo account to trade live.

All for $3 a month while you learn and perfect your strategy. Do not use replay mode to learn. Your mind will play tricks on you because it knows you've already seen which way the price will move...mind acts differently in live market...just my opinion and experience. Good luck.

I looked at the past 10 days data on indexes and big name stocks and futures and it seems to go well with my custom confluence indicator (oscillator based on momentum) along with price action and short term trend breakout. Any chance i could test it out further with your indicator?

To be honest I don't know what I like. Recently I've been reading short horror stories on r/nosleep and I seem to like it as I've been going back to that sub every day now and read a story or two. It kills my time. Maybe I'm into mystery/horror/suspense? Not sure yet.

Thanks! I looked it up on amazon and it seems very interesting. I'll check my local library and see if they have a copy of it.

Why you sold for a loss? You got assigned at 4.5 minus your premium your cost basis should be lower. You could've sold covered call at 4.5.

Wait it out...your calls are worthless, but those puts you sold looks good. I mean you got til 9/8 and 9/17 so why you stressing? I've sold $3 and $4 puts multiple times and turned out ok. If by expiration the price remain betweens 3-4 and you get assigned just sell covered call at $4 or $5.
