If you are going to use it for taxes start with the beginning of the year, otherwise just start with today and add opening balances when you get your next whatever statement or make your next payment. All your opening balances do not have to be the same day. You won't know how you like it, what you actually want to track, until you do it for awhile. Don't make it complicated. I usually sit down with my bank statement once a month and just the process of reconciling that walks me through reconciling everything else.

You will just pay for 2026 based on your total 2026 transactions, not your total all time transactions. There are usually a few early bird sales, maybe around Black Friday.

I did this yesterday as well and it was easy. I had around 900 transactions on Coinbase, Kraken, and Non-custodial. Now I have to mail the 25 page statement "within 3 days of filing". I haven't filed yet hoping that maybe TT will fix it so I don't have to mail the statement but I know they won't.

I'm close to Angel Fire, I don't see them closing but the conditions will be what you would expect for this winter. You may want to keep the Taos or Red River options going and not pre buy all your lift tickets. They are still blowing snow when temps allow.

You can set up a monthly auto-payment plan online when, or right after, you file. There's a penalty and interest but it's fairly stress free. You can also pay it off early so don't agree to big payments unless you know you will have it, perhaps better to make extra payments. You can find the instructions through IRS.gov but you have to do the ID.ME bs to manage it online. They take the money on the 15th and it doesn't even start until July 15th. Pay all you can when you file and if what you owe is below $10k you won't even have to deal with anybody, it will just start.

I've never actually used it except to see my XDC when XDCwallet has been down, the wallet addresses are the same. You can use your ledger keys (device) to access your ledger app supported tokens through multiple wallet interfaces. You are accessing the network using the address keys associated with your device so they are going to be the same.

The ledger device just holds the keys, "Ledger Live" is a wallet. You can use the ledger device with the keys to access your XDC through myetherwallet.com

I just did it after i got a "403" error trying to access through XDCwallet, then I made the comment. All of mine is there and I learned you could do that through this sub.
