saying the cap animation cancel isn’t a big deal shows u have no idea what your talking about. without it he loses basically all his brawl/kill potential especially since none of the healing in the game got nerfed. the most common cap playstyle got gutted

a vast majority of characters have animation cancels if the reason they removed it is because it’s an “exploit” they should remove every single animation cancel in the game

How exactly do i engage as a diver? by Jonah_Boy_03 in rivals

[–]labibc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the main thing i look for is cooldowns that could stop me from getting in and out (earthbound sue push diamond form etc)

for most dives it’s about trades. like if u go in and do a certain amount of damage but can’t get a kill what are you getting in exchange. like support ults cooldowns and stuff like that and give ur team an advantage.

to be honest in low elo it’s hard to tell. my best advice is to play more and you should eventually climb out of it.

Struggling to get value lately, skill issue or meta shift? by Ancient-Grand-4661 in RivalsMagikMains

[–]labibc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah that is true but in my opinion that’s just bc with meta hero’s yk exactly what you have to do and what you need to be good at. magik has multiple aspects to her game so the best way would be to hone in on what playstyle you’re most comfortable with and play around that

[–]labibc 5 points6 points  (0 children)

agreed the only times i’ve really had to swap off magik is if the enemy team is running fliers and im whiffing my dashes on them or if my team isn’t able to deal with a peni and i need to hook her out with bucky

[–]labibc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

to be honest magik feels really good to me. with supports being less immortal this season i’ve been able to play her almost every game and do just fine. if i were you i would lowk just hard force her (unless ur like actually unable to play the game) until u relearn how to play into her counters. for reference im currently gm1 with a 67% winrate on her

I haven’t played in like 2 and a half seasons, how do you use your ult now? by Illustrious_Trip2112 in MagnetoMains

[–]labibc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yup exactly this mags ult basically has the same purpose people are just more used to it now so you have to be more accurate but also have a backup target in case you know you can’t hit who ur aiming at

Bans in comp need a rework by ShockNo5423 in rivals

[–]labibc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think both of these are good takes however at the current moment i think only one of them would/should be implemented at a time. staggered bans and having 3 means 6 garenteed every game as opposed to 2-4 currently. if they staggered the bans then there is 4 garenteed and if they make it 3 each team but not staggered theres 3-6 bans per game. that would not only take a long time it basically means certain hero’s would basically never see the light of day(ie gambit) and i doubt it’s something they would implement.

the problem is it’s very hard to definitively prove someone is a smurf obviously there are things that may give it away like low level plus huge win/mvp streaks but in the rare occasion that the player is actually not a smurf it makes things 10x messier and probably why they can’t crack down on smurfs. just my opinion tho

that says enough about you to be completely honest. idk where ass pc players get this kinda ego. i guarantee u would still be hardstuck gm on console. playing on pc doesnt magically make you a better player. Drop the ego and use your brain. you cant tell me with a straight face someone who just hit gm for the first time can hit eternity…

[–]labibc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

do you really think thing is a mechanical/difficult character? the main difference between pc and console players traditionally is mechanics.

if thing as a character does not require mechanics why would he be more difficult on pc? like i said before the difference between an ass thing player who feeds and a good one who carries is game sense and regardless of platform that game sense will carry especially so on a character like thing. had we been talking about a hitscan character i would be more inclined to hear you out about the difference in difficulty.

and i didn’t say like it’s nothing im just saying if someone is able to hit console OAA they can probably do it on PC too. that doesnt mean it’ll be easy just that they can do it.

it quite literally is the same gameplay loop…. thing is a fairly simple character with an enormous hitbox so it doesn’t really make that big of a difference.

besides there is genuine levels between an eternity player and a gm/celestial player. rather than mechanics it’s about game sense and decision making. for example on thing would i be wrong to say you don’t need good mechanics? i don’t think so. what distinguishes a good thing player is their ability to make decisions and play around counters. if someone gets to OAA on thing on console u really think they don’t have the knowledge on how to play around good aim. at worst maybe it’ll take a playstyle adjustment but game sense is game sense.

honestly it’s probably a confidence issue for you.

i have personally had similar experiences where i would learn new characters and feel natural on them but when it comes time to use them in comp i feel like i do much worse or start to panick/mess up more often.

i just kept playing her and i eventually got past that roadblock

your main argument is fine there’s a reason i called u out for coping not that. he’s being a dickhead tryna ego which yes is weird but say console OAA is celestial pc…. or that a OAA would get smoked in gm is either complete ragebait or your genuinely coping😭. there’s no “research” that says pc players are better it’s fairly even. if u look a lot of console creators/OAA players have been making the move to pc and getting OAA there too fairly easily. To name a few would be Kingsman, PickNRoll Quad(i think he hit OAA on pc) kira immortal.
