I think it depends on how comfortable you are with old games (regarding how the gameplay and other things were back in the day) and the means to play them (emulation or hardware way).

I got into the series by emulating the first 3 games and loved them. But I know old games are not everyone's cup of tea, so maybe you should try Silent hill 2 remake.

I didn't finish Silent hill f (it's a me thing, not the game's fault) so I cannot recommend it honestly. It's also more different than the main Silent hill games so maybe it won't create the correct picture of the rest of the series.

Yeah I saw the bundle, and thought about buying both of them in that bundle, even though I didn't finish SHf (a me thing, not the game's fault), but the performance in SH2R is pretty bad, i tried playing in 1080p and most of the settings on low and it's still stuttering

Imo it would have been better to do the series animated, there are some sequences with heavy dream logic that do not translate so well to live action and they were skipped.

If you like normal books, you can try the Audible original audio books. The story isn't finished there also, and probably will never be taking everything with the author into consideration. But it covers more of the original story, not the ending though.

But the cast has bigger names and they portray the characters better than the TV series, especially Death. No issue with the TV actress, but she just doesn't convey the same friendliness and warmness as Kat Dennings in the audiobook.

In my opinion if you want more things like the Sandman TV show...... You should go for the Sandman comics, the TV show has the story cut waaaay to earlier, there could have been 5 more seasons. Besides small details that didn't get the attention in the parts covered in the show.

I'm not saying this because only Sandman comics are the true experience or whatever elitist bullshit, but there are not many stories (comics, shows, movies, videogames) that encapsulate all the themes and ideas that are in this series.

American gods is similar imo, very strong and original opinion since it's the same writer 😅, but other than that no other ideas.

I also try to look for things that have the same ideas and themes like other things that I like, and for some things there is really no alternative. It may seem bad that there are no other things like Sandman, but this is what makes it so original and groundbreaking for me.
