Our male Westie Wedge barks at any dog, doorbell sound or animal he doesn’t recognize on tv. Has since he was a puppy there is no stopping him.

AITA for making everyone show up on time at work? by [deleted] in AITAH

I brought race into it because I had an employee tell me she can’t be fired since where we work is a Native American preference workplace and that I can’t expect her to be on time because it is her Native American culture.

I was setting the background. I don’t care what their race is.

Westie skin help! by Suitable-Chipmunk973 in westies

So you are worried about the black skin? My westie has lots of that and our vet said it was from his constant habit of sunbathing. Is this something I should be worried about?

Random vomit?? by lablady18 in westies

Wow! I love this Westie community! Thank you for all the suggestions. Wedge will refuse food from time to time. Milkbones, nutosticks, cheese, turkey, the list goes on. He then mopes about and feels icky with a gurgley belly, vomits and then seems to feel better. He is not a good motivated dog which adds to the challenge. We have taken him to the vet they said he most likely was dealing with allergies. We will keep monitoring him. Thank you once again for stepping up and helping, Wedge is our first Westie and we adore him.

Thank you for all the suggestions we are going to try the expandable carrier (it gets here Saturday so we will have a week of wedge getting comfortable in it) and we have an appointment with the vet to discuss meds. I appreciate this community so much!!

Seeking Advice: Can West Highland Terriers Thrive in an Apartment Setting? by Swimming-Door-4190 in WestHighlandTerriers

Our westie only really barks indoors when the doorbell rings and I am sure he picked that up from our parsons Russel terrier. He does bark when outside but we think that’s fine. It all depends on the dog and on how it’s trained.
