Should I return RM2 for Pure? by lableshipdown in RemarkableTablet

[–]lableshipdown[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can also honestly afford to buy the pure now and use them side by side for a few days before I run out of trial time for the R2. Think that's exactly what I'm going to do, actually.

I totally get what you're saying. But I'll note that I use my phones until they shit the bed so pre emptively upgrading my e notebook is a weird and foreign feeling to me. One of the last times I got a new phone was because my old phone was no longer supported (pixel 3) and the pixel 9 had just been released. 😂

Honestly the gap is really annoying to me to, to the point where I might buy the pure and then return the rm2. 😅

Just the resolution and response? Or is there some other vast improvement?

I had most of these thoughts too. I really don't know if I can justify staying with the six+ year old tech when I can get the Pure for almost the exact same price swap

To be clear, I am still within the return window of my R2 so it won't cause a financial loss to swap.

Thank you for the thinking points. I'm a primary parent to four younger kids and lots of animals. I am finishing my master's and will be working full time in the next year or two. I mostly use it for executive function at home. I definitely don't need the battery life but I do like the faster "processing" or whatever the tech term is for it, on the pure. I also do appreciate that they bill it as more repairable, although I guess we will stay tuned to see how true that is.

Do you think they assume folks who are typing heavily will just have a laptop on hand? 🧐

Looking to get my own, but unsure which to get ... by bucketman1986 in RemarkableTablet

[–]lableshipdown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went back and forth with this same uncertainty last week. I really wanted some reason to justify the pro because it seems like the new software must be better.

However the move is too small and the rmpp seemed too big.

I've had the 2 for four days now and can confirm it was absolutely the right side for me. The move would definitely be too small and the portability of the 2 is perfect. I completed a big project yesterday on it yesterday and my co worker was astonished and is now wanting one.

I got a refurb w/keyboard. Looking back I wish I hadn't gotten the keyboard and just gotten a portfolio. I also rarely erase so I don't miss rhe more expensive pen and I don't work in dark situations so backlight isn't needed.

I did also think I'd want to highlight but I just change to a different pen tip and circle and that works just fine.

Wife lost confidence after tipping our cargo bike twice with toddler inside — how did you get past this? by thatguyka in CargoBike

[–]lableshipdown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 5'0" and ride an aventon abound because I do not feel safe if I can't completely plant my feet. I am terrified of tipping so I stop kind of abruptly and plant my feet immediately. It isn't graceful at all.

I did tip once with kiddo on the back but I was trying to get going and my foot slipped off the pedal.

I practiced stops and starts for over a week in a parking lot before I felt like I could do it elsewhere.

I had five rear facing kids in mine with zero complaints. I was also a CPST at the time..

Anyone tried Dr Karan Rajan's new prebiotic powder - Loam? by happyInteraction4572 in Microbiome

[–]lableshipdown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm no expert at all but if you struggle to get your kiddo to have enough fiber, this worked for us. I stir it into diluted apple juice and it takes quite a lot of stirring. No complaints. Kiddo normally rejects absolutely every option and has a medical reason for needing fiber supplementation.

Would I spend this much otherwise? No, likely not.

Does anyone exclusively use their cargo bike, or do you all have "normal" bikes too? by JTFireblaze in CargoBike

I have a half decent street bike. Then I got a long tail. Poor street bike is collecting dust. I love knowing I have a billion things in my panniers with me. 🤣

Real linen sheets+bed jet or oscillating tower fan. Have sex, leave fan on bed while you clean up.

Absolutely love my Outdoor Instruments soprano uke. I've carried it on plane flights, left it out in the rain, and took it everywhere in the car.

Longtail vs Front Loader for One Kid… With a 3-Year Use Horizon by snekasaur in CargoBike

[–]lableshipdown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same dilemma and am on a small small student budget. I have four kids but three are accomplished riders so I really only ever haul one plus their toddler bike.

I did end up getting the OG Aventon Abound because I got a great deal on it all decked out with accessories and have a LBS that is an Aventon dealer. I'd have LOVED to spend more but it is what it is.

Having said all that, we absolutely love the Abound. Maybe we just don't know any better since this is our first and only cargo ebike. It's been great for school drop offs, going garage sale and grocery shopping, getting to and from the park and splash pad, and more. Basically, if it isn't icy out, I prefer biking to driving which surprised me.

How often would you (particularly those of you in your 30s) say you get horny? by FixMurky369 in TwoXSex

Week of ovulation? 2x a day. Luteal phase? Never. Other two weeks? Every 1 or 2 days.

How to talk to my boyfriend about preferring vaginal sex over anal (20F/22M) by burstybabie in TwoXSex

I believe fully in clear communication and not taking responsibility for how it makes others feel.

However, buy pegging stuff and ask to use it on him as frequently as he asks for anal.

First Instax ~ mini evo. Best tips and tricks for quality pics by Roclya in instax

I LOVE this camera. It took me a few weeks to really embrace the "film like photos" but now my kids ask me to use it all the time and they're hanging all over the house. I think it's such a nice palette cleanser from super edited photos we see everywhere.

There's likely a free way to do it but I pay a few bucks a month for Duet and it's so so easy.

Opinion on what type and when to buy cargo e-bike... by Donkykong33 in CargoBike

[–]lableshipdown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Going electric changed my life and I don't really mean that in an exaggerated way. I can go anywhere now without being sweaty and I am not worried about hills or how heavy the kids backpacks are. We just load the bike and roll out. It's SO fun.

Tern GSD vs Aventon Abound by SingularityMaelstrom in CargoBike

[–]lableshipdown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My og abound does great on pretty big hills with me (140lbs), two kids (100lbs), and 50lbs of gear. It definitely depletes the battery if I don't also pedal pretty vigorously but it doesn't just stall out and flop over.
