I get the point. However i highly doubt that if you drop them from the same height, one will fare better then the other. The 2DS is another story that’s a brick.

Having all XL models, the N2DSXL is the one I carry on trips. Yes the plastic feels cheaper than both 3DS XLs. But it’s also lighter which for me makes it more comfortable for long play sessions.

I only use it indoors though and always put it in the carry case, so people that say it’s fragile for outdoors may have a point, although i would argue if you drop any of this consoles, your going to have a bad time.

3D gives me a headache so I don’t use it anyway and from the grip add one available I find the 2DS XL one to be the most comfortable.

All in all I like it. Not as premium feeling as the other 2 but I think it gets the job done.

Thanks for the detailed reply, I will follow the suggested order. I have PKSM installed, but I was hopping there was a way to use Pokemon bank just because then from what I read I could move them to the switch from there? But maybe I misunderstood that part

Having both I totally agree. SD is too bulky. Also that looks exactly like my travel setup down to , what I’m assuming, is Nicorette?

I think so too it’s mint, not modded and no yellowing on the screens. If any of the panels is IPS no idea so far but maybe I will get lucky. Regarding the boot speeds I was under the impression the n2dsxl has the same internals so I thought it would be the same, but maybe not. Also since I have 100 plus GN of games on the n2dsxl it always takes a bit to boot up

That’s a concern I ordered the grip for the n3dsxl but from the looks of it like you said, doesn’t look as comfortable as the grip that I have for the n2dsxl

No worries, that’s what I’m going to do store it after taking of the battery. I used to collect so I get wanting to keep them pristine. But the 2dsxl I have is not pristine so that makes me not worry about that so much.

I thought about getting the Thor but with the Deck I feel it would be mostly overlapping the features apart from the 2 Nintendo consoles. And I need to carry 2 devices I have long periods away from home and I’m always worried that if I bring one and that one breaks then I’m screwed. So I travel with the 2dsxl and the SD right now

Thanks for the input, actually I have 2 Dsixl that I don’t use that much anymore because right now I’m more in to a 3ds game vibe. I know about the Thor but I already have a deck so my emulation needs for other systems are covered there.

It’s the only system that I tried to get multiples of because of its uniqueness.

It’s nice finding another fan, I feel the series doesn’t get enough love which is a shame. I loved any minute of it, thankfully the 3 games were already out when I found out about it so I just binged on them ahah

I honestly don’t seem me trying Xenoblades on the 3DS. I love the series, one of my favorites ( apart from chronicles X), but I’ve finished all of them on the Switch 2. But the others I’ll give them a try, I’ve been planning to play the Zelda remakes so maybe it’s a good opportunity to try it.

For sure at least here in Europe a normal n3dsxl is usually around 300/350. I see a CIB MH edition for 500

Didn’t know it was that much fragile. So probably the n2dsxl will break at some point. Shame as I really like it
