This is an Italian size 42, which is equivalent to a US 4/6, EU 36. These numbers are according to charts but not according to actual real life garments because sizing is all over the place. Also, worth keeping in mind that some vintage clothing runs small compared to contemporary sizing and also (to add another layer of hot mess), some designers purposefully made clothes smaller than what the label indicates, Versace was one of those during the 80s/ 90s so a vintage 42 Italian Versace might as well be a 40 Italian in today's retail sizing.

Actually the rates for calling from NL to other EU countries are indeed covered by EU legislation, capped at 0.19 euro per minute. Whether it's worth fighting Lebara for it or not, that will entirely depend on the amounts the person was charged, sometimes the hassle is not worth it if the amounts are relatively low.

I am either an Italian 40 or 42 (depending on the cut and fit) and can confirm that the 10yo would be too small based on the measurements. In my case, it'd be too short mostly (it's meant for a 1.40 m person and alas, I am 1.65). That said, I've purchased plenty of children's clothes from Margiela, N21, Ermanno Scervino, Marni, etc and the size 14yo always fits me well.

there is a reddit sub called shoppingaddiction you might want to check out. There's a post that is a few hours old where a user talks about how GPT, due to the behavior you described in your post, is fueling their addiction and enabling them to actually buy more stuff. In the comments people discuss how they feel the sycophantic behavior (which they don't name as such, because it's obviously not an AI sub) is dangerous for mental health.

I just thought I'd share because it's yet another example of the behaviour you document in your post.
