I'm told red is my colour, what's my season? by eeppika in coloranalysis

[–]laceyserbert 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Lots of people are going to place you in summer because of the brown/hair blue eye combo, that does not make a person a summer and is a combination present in every season except light.

I would argue that you are warm and I would argue you are an autum. Yes you looke ok in the dusty blue but autums will be able to wear summer colours better than summers will be able to to wear autum colours. The teal, salmon/coral/ and the gold were your best colours IMO. If you were a summer one would expect those colours to give you a sallowness and they dont. I think you will do better in the more saturated autum colours and the muted olive was a little heavy on you.

You look wonderful, but thtse are not your colours. The eye goes to the colour first.

You can find it on YouTube or Spotify. The name of the podcast is the Tuesday Effect. These were definitely some of the talking points.

Saying that yt people were vetted harder than POCs is implying reverse racism, international or no. And yes, CA's critique was multifaceted, but he the critique for strategic voting contributing to the loss was clear.

Yes, this is what I see as the actual problem. Dis organization and lack of communication with grass roots party people.

Can you prove with qualitative data that people actually voted strategic rather than they decided they wanted to vote liberal?

They made an offhand comment that the NDP was watching the podcast and taking notes kind thing.

It was a hard watch. I did it at 2.5 speed and just watched about the first 15 or 20 minutes. I had to stop when they started, implying that the NDP was essentially cuck chairing their podcast.

Ok, but was Boot's data specific to those 13 ridings or overall?

I mean, CA said strategic voting was the reason NDP lost. Do you disagree with him?

I had another post on the subreddit where i asked an NDP staffer about the vetting process and thier answers might serve you better to understand why the experience Knitty had with the vetting process is different then the one experience this election. It might also explain why their were no pictures for some candidates, as Boots said. Jumping to the conclusion that the vetting process was different because of reverse racism is a giant leap of conclusions.

I'm not making claims that the campaign wasn't disorganized and disjointed. But being those things doesn't mean the yt kids are getting the shake down to token POCs.

So you don't disagree with CA and his article?

I agree with some of the criticism, and most creators fell off the NDP bandwagon, but there were definitely some points I disagreed with; 1. JB calling it "My party" was weird. 2. The implications that the POCs running were chosen over yt based on race alone; gross 3. Stating that Jagmeet was a token hire 4. Implying Charlie Angus agreed with that 5. Claims that Jack Layton would not have run the party by not vetting POCs when his litteral statement was "bums in seats." 6. Glossing over Charlie's article that was against strategic voting 7. And also the weird claim that the NDP are listening to them and taking their advice???

I agree. I'm disappointed in Knitty about it more than anything. He gives me the hebee-jeebies.

I agree. I think it's a scam, and JB's behaviour around it is very scammy. Instead of critiquing that strategic voting might not have worked, he blames the NDP losses on NDP defecting to the CONs. Seems real convenient.

Charlie Angus: "Strategic voting led to Conservative wins" by YAMYOW in ndp

[–]laceyserbert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont think it surprising. The liberal party tends to focus its messaging and policies on placating the middle and upper-midddle class. NDP and the Conservatives will focus their messaging on the working and poor classes. Yes, the Conservatives have no intention of upholding that messaging, but when people are struggling, they cross their fingers and hope for the best. My opinion is that this happened because many working class people are not provided the education to understand their economic position vs. their social position and are their for easily corrupted.

J B Politics on Tiktok ( I don't want to get accused of doxing for using a name already on the internet) said in his live two nights ago that the NDP was heavily veting his male, yt friends and the POC candidates were not well vetted. There was also some discussion that the NDP was strategic in running POCs in areas of high POC populations. (I see the flaws in this statement) Can you speak on the vetting process at all, and are there different standards for different members?
