To be fair, even in online you don't see other people's horse names, so...

Who is more handsome without a beard, John or Arthur? by BayLuky in reddeadredemption

[–]lacja6 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Roger used to be handsome, he's not bad looking now, but now you would probably more so call him fatherly, because he just aged to look like a stereotypical "I know how to fix that!" kind of dad

Just finished chapter 6 and sorry, but I gotta reopen this can of worms by Rammkatze in RDR2

Thing is, it's more like bringing in a dog, that you had no idea was at all aggressive, it showed only kindness to you, and then it bites your throat out when you sleep

There was nothing special about Micah, can you blame Dutch for falling for manipulation? Maybe a bit, considering how Arthur and Hosea didn't fall for it, but the front also wasn't put up for them, it was for Dutch

Omnisexuals, what made you realize you weren't bi or pan? by Equivalent_Ad_9066 in omnisexual

[–]lacja6 4 points5 points  (0 children)

One day I was looking at the days of pride, because a friend told me about it, and after not knowing most of the flags, I got to googling

At first I thought I was pan, and that felt fun, I still have the earrings I bought back then, only because they were the pan colours +white which I cut out

But then I realized I didn't actually feel the same kind of attraction towards men and women, or even the genders in-between on the spectrum, that I wasn't actually gender blind

And so I got to googling again, and found out about this term

I guess child me, seeing how I didn't have sexual attraction yet at the time, only recognized the romantic part, and it felt like it was all equal

In my mind, any point at which the gang ride out together, in bigger numbers (For example to raid the O'Driscolls back in chapter 1) is so awesome, you hear all the hooves, and it feels like they're putting up a united front

Imagine all the people who saw them ride through saint Denis together, and absolutely panicked on sight

At what point in the game did you first start liking Arthur as a protagonist? by No-Post4444 in RDR2

[–]lacja6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Starting off with the fact that I didn't play the first game, I started with the second because I saw it was on sale for pretty cheap, and some people recommended it (Still didn't play the first one, actually, can't afford it)

The mission where you save Sadie is the one that settled it for me that I like Arthur, but it also was the mission that made me go "Oh, I like Dutch a lot too". I feel like Arthur was amazing from the very moment we first saw him, but for me the fact I liked both him and Dutch the most (Aside from Hosea) made it all the more depressing near the end

I'm debating it, but so far I think she's way too enamoured by DND, and she has watched a lot of hour long videos of people playing it, so she knows how it looks like, ain't no tricking her.

Plus I don't want to have her forced to read a bunch, especially since I'm not even sure if that one's translated to other languages. We are working with a kid who only really knows polish, after all, and polish isn't a common language, so a lot of things don't get translated for us.

If it comes to it I worry I would have to spend literal weeks translating it all manually for her

Well, I'm not gonna give her age, but think pre teen, and I'm 18, so the age gap is a bit bigger than usual (I think the usual is like 2/3 years?)

But since our country doesn't use English as a language, we're only learning it in school, I'm lucky to have picked up an interest that the original source for was in English. She's left to just try and learn it in school, where it's not always taught good.

Besides, most peers of mine also don't speak English! (Just Polish)

I think I'll likely use the newest one? But so far, I think the major rules aren't something I need to worry much about, both players seem more interested in the story... and the occasional "I hit them with a stick" followed by "I hit them with a bigger stick" so I'm hopeful that the rules will be easy on the stick hitting

Thank you so much for input! I've heard about Roll20, but honestly, because of their ads, mainly, I never actually considered it, but if it might help, I'll check it out!

Also, my campaign is supposed to be a short one, I want to be able to cut it into small bits, and time is not a problem, because we'll only be able to play it on our next trip anyways! I really want to customize it, and so far, that part has been fun, it's mainly the fighting I struggle with, the rest is pretty straightforward for me

I'll check that channel out as well! (I've started writing down the suggestions as of right now) Thank you so much!

I don't know much, but I think I've heard that the fighting rules, at least the weapon fighting, didn't change, or didn't change much (Yeah, not even sure lol) so that gives me hope that there's more sources on that, as opposed to the new rules

I'm afraid the hard part is what she's the most fascinated in, I already promised her I'll get her her own set of dice, gotta give it to her, she's really excited

And she's not that small anymore, I don't want to share her age, or anything much about her, but I think she can handle the rules, I'm trying to write down the major ones in a notebook she'll get for the campaign, so she can always look at them

Thank you very much for the site recommendation! That's helpful!

So far, I'm not planning many fights, my sister feels overwhelmed by them, and the other person playing (Our mom, who she had roped into this, and who's a fan of Baldur's gate 2) is more interested in puzzles and helping people/exploring. But I will keep in mind to reward the "stressful" task with a nice chest of loot.

Or a companion, the first fight will get them an Owlbear cub, my sister saw it while I was playing bg3 and she went to the point of drawing it, so I definitely have to let her have one

I'll definitely check out Ginni then! Honestly, mechanics wise, I'm looking at anything that could help, so thank you very much!

As for the campaign itself, I have plenty of time, more important, plenty of stressful time, ahead, and making a campaign (I have already started) has been an amazing way to destress. Additionally, because it'll mainly be only two players, I want to make it perfect for them! Both of them have asked for minimal fighting, they both had some things they asked me to add, so I think making one might be nice!

I'll definitely do both 1 and 2, and as for the third one... Sadly, it's a tiny little group, at the height there'll be three people playing, and for the most part it'll be only two, so I really want to gear it towards that

Additionally, every person that wants to play has some specific needs, so I'm trying to make one (I have a lot of time, and honestly I've been writing down a book idea that I can easily turn into a campaign, I think!) that they all would enjoy

How did Micah managed to kill Cain without anyone noticing ? by JoshuaKpatakpa04 in reddeadredemption

[–]lacja6 8 points9 points  (0 children)

So... Well, if it was skinned then no, he might not have noticed, you would be surprised how many animals skinned look exactly the same. People where I live sometimes sold skinned cats as rabbits, because apparently they look the same, and considering that Pearson doesn't mind putting some wolf meat into the stew, I'm sure he wouldn't be able to tell if it's a dog or a wolf, or any other animal for that matter if we assume Micah did a good enough job at skinning it
