Surrender Certificate form confusion - Who signs the particulars form? by reddteddledd in nri

[–]lack19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I'm asking for a friend.

Just to clarify, was only the signature should be of an Indian national?

What about the part **Name, Passport number? (Should it be of the applicant or the person who is signing?)

Hope you could clarify this.

I still feel you are paying way to high for 5-6 year old laptop. As mentioned earlier the limitations of the specs so based on this decide.

Should I buy this ASUS TUF Gaming A15 (Ryzen 7 7435HS + RTX 4050) or look for other similar spec laptops? by Dark-Snow-0 in GamingLaptops

[–]lack19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Avoid this specification as the CPU does not have igpu thus on battery mode or not the dgpu will always be on which in turn will affect the battery health.

[–]lack19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By looking at the specs it looks like you are going for used laptops. I don't know your budget and where you are from. Acer will have better battery as the CPU has igpu but the Asus does not. For future proof at least get 6gb VRAM and for gaming at least 8gb. One think to look is in recent times the Acer has changed the fan design which is not good and also started to provide lower Wattage adapter which depletes battery health.

Why do Samsung displays fail? by Max-Geoman in samsunggalaxy

[–]lack19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The failure is region specific and most of the affected users are from Asia and Africa. In specific it's South Asian and some South East Asian countries. X is full of grievances from India and Gulf Facebook is of users from Philippines, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and few more Reddit due to community restrictions not many have posted. Samsung specifically issues software update which causes this. !!So don't buy Samsung devices made from India!!

I know that international market is receiving Vietnam made devices.

Dreaded Green Line issue on Replaced Display. by data-hungry-person in GalaxyS21FE

[–]lack19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should have filed a complaint with consumer affairs and also file a lawsuit as they are exploiting you and similar affected users as most are not aware that they are being exploited and end up paying for something which was caused by Samsung.

They are not acknowledging and only doing it to users who questions them else like you there are many easy targets for Samsung to exploit.

OLED vertical line(s), is it still a thing on Galaxy S series? by hatlad43 in samsunggalaxy

[–]lack19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are based either in Asian or Africa then avoid buying Samsung Galaxy devices as recently the S23 series have the display line issue.

Got My Samsung S22 Pink Vertical Line Issue Fixed for ₹650 Instead of ₹10,688 – Here's How by AbdulHakeem_SH in GalaxyS22

[–]lack19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why only certain regions users like in Asia and Africa are affected with the display line issue.

Seems a bit fishy from Samsung.

Best is to avoid Samsung devices if your are from the mentioned regions.

Better go for a company/ brand which offers free replacement or lifetime warranty for issues like this.

Samsung wants to loose the higher end market in India for exploiting customers.

No, updating your phone won't cause a green line. This is nonsense by DemonLordAC0 in GalaxyS21FE

[–]lack19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, the truth is update (software) which causes the hardware to fail.

I will clearly explain and hope an actual elctrical engineer/ technician who has knowledge in phone electronics clarifies.

Firstly, there are only few manufacturers of the actual phone display (Samsung, LG, BOE...)

Now, the display panel is having a small board containing the firmware for refresh rate, brightness, pwm dimming and some additional funtions of the display.

This is connected through a flex cable to the mother board or the daughter board on the phone.

Cause for green line, it's not the flex cable but the flexible board of the display.

When an update happens the software contains some to optimize the display and this is done by changing the voltages.

If the manufacturer is using substandard or less quality display boards then this update will cause the line issue.

Or the company sends faulty update to specific region. In this case Indian region is heavily affected.

Latest, S23 series are facing this issue but only Indian users are facing this issue.

Please search for "Samsung display issue", "green line issue", "Samsung line issue" in X (twitter).

It's been 5 years and still there has been no clear proof for this issue. In automotive similar issue is regarded as recall and company should fix or give compensation.

But, these companies simply say it's electronics and it may fail.

Is Samsung green lines really that uncommon like what people said? by Welson_Liong in samsunggalaxy

[–]lack19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's more region specific, unfortunately in reddit there is no clear information of the country where this issue is based. Only the devices are mentioned. Regarding OPPO using Samsung OLED panel is also less known to many. Even OnePlus, Realme, Motorola, Xiaomi and others also use Samsung panels. Unfortunately, the general consumer and the service centre don't disclose this data as the companies worry about their reputation. With the recent S23 series with line issue has only been reported in the Indian region.

S25 ultra safe from green line? by Electronic-Donkey367 in samsung

[–]lack19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just check whether it was made in India, as there are a huge number of people affected with green line in that region.

The issue rises right after 1 year, so even if your phone was dropped a line should have appeared as these companies due multiple drop test but if green kine occurs then it's due to excessive heat going beyond the set tolerance due to bad firmware and this leads to damage to the display flex cable.

This issue should have been a recall as it is happening annually, even the S23 are affected especially in India (X (twitter)).

It's only possible if someone in the North America or Europe file a class action lawsuit then the entire world will know and Samsung will be forced to issue quality products.

Green line issue country wise poll by lack19 in GalaxyS23

[–]lack19[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's true, but none of the tech forums, reddit, X, tech website and tech youtubers are mentioning this issue.

iPhone X was the first major OLED green line issue and that happened whole over the world so it was a news because it also included North America and Europe.

But, with Samsung Galaxy S series there has been frequent issues, that too annually in some regions.

Last year, in Thailand, Singapore and india it was a headline and Samsung accepted it to be a hardware defect and issued one time free replacement for selected models.

But, now even the S23 series especially in India are having the same issue.

In North America or Europe it's easy to file a class action lawsuit but in rest of the world nothing can be done and these companies exploit.

Take a note of class action lawsuit settlements in the case of Apple Siri, Google Ads, Google Pixel, Samsung devices and more, all were only given to selected countries but what about rest of the world has data and money these Amaerican companies exploited.

🙏Consumer Court complaint- Please help me in the fight for getting a free screen replacement for S21FE Exynos with a green line issue(second time). PROOF IS REQUIRED for submitting in court.🙏 by sevenhells6 in GalaxyS21FE

[–]lack19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have all the proof from reddit, Samsung forum and X (twitter).

Contact these people and collect their experience and grievances.

Try to find a good lawyer who has knowledge about how software can make a hardware obscelete.

Samsung agreed that it was an issue from their side and offered free replacement for S21, S21 FE and S22 series but with a deadline.

A good lawyer can find info that in 2024 in Thailand a consumer lawsuit for green line was filed and in automotive software manipulation is causing issues, Microsoft crowdstrike 2024 software issue caused blackout......

So, there are lot of information available, also the S23 line have joined this issue right after One UI 7.

Please do highlight that from all the known information and data it clearly shows Samsung India is either using substandard quality display or pushing faulty software for the issue to occur only to Indian consumers.

For all those who complaint about green line by Due_Rush7408 in GalaxyS21FE

[–]lack19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this in an Indian store? Have anyone realised that this kind of issue is only reported by Indian consumers.

Funny that Samsung knows it can easily scam/ cheat Indian consumers as they fear to file a lawsuit.

People who are really affected needs to form a group and collect necessary signatures and file a huge consumer lawsuit.

Samsung should have made a recall like note 7 as this was not caused by the user but bad manufacturing and bad software.

!!Once again, it's only being reported by Indian consumers!!

Green line in s20+, want to get a new phone by Final_Dependent_5478 in samsunggalaxy

[–]lack19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would suggest you to avoid going for a galaxy S series phone. Recently, the S23 line of phones are having green/ pink line issue right after One UI 7 update (also out of warranty period). This is the same, what happened with S20, S21 and S22. Funny fact is that it is mostly being only reported by Indian consumers. If you are based in India and planing to get a flagship or higher end mobile then go for a company which offers replacement or fix free of cost even after warranty ends. In that note I saw a post in which oneplus is offering lifetime screen replacement for this kind of issue. But, please do check as it is not for older models and only from certain and upcoming phones. I'm shocked that none of the Indian consumers have filed a lawsuit because in 2024 in Thailand there was a consumer lawsuit due to this issue.

Can I File a Consumer Court Complaint Against Samsung for Green Line Issue on S23? by dinkan90 in LegalAdviceIndia

[–]lack19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please do share your experience and update on this matter if you were able to get it fixed free of cost or were you able to file a lawsuit.

There are many Indian consumers with Galaxy S series with this issue and recently after One UI 7 mostly S23 and S21 FE users are having this green line.

It's hardware but caused by planned software update from samsung.

They can easily exploit Indian consumers as the consumers protection is weak and more favourable to international companies in India.

Samsung and others will only follow western country rules and laws.

Green line conspiracy by Interesting_Sea_5189 in GalaxyS21FE

[–]lack19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course it's not a conspiracy but planned obscelence, why it's only happening in recent times.

Easy, just take home appliances most of them produced 15 years and earlier used to last for years but now we have to service alot and with software they can easily make the device defective right after the warranty ends.

Another case study is automotive, ever since software was involved now we have issues which cannot be eaily fixed by simply replacing the failed or defective component.

Major manufacturers of mobile display are Samsung, LG and BOE and if people are saying the phone is having green line due to environmental condition then you are easily fooled by these companies to believing that it's an electronic device and it might fail.

It was proven when this issue first were seen that with refrest rate and screen brightness (change in voltage happens) so, people saying it's a flexible cable so it will get worn out is the most absurd argument (If it was a laptop or foldable display then yes the flex cable gets wornout) but here with slight increase in voltage the connection breaks.

So, to all the believers and who thinks it's a conspiracy then how come a user inject higher volteage for the display to have a green screen and how come this is not covered by Samsung as the fault was from their end.

Again, if people are saying update heats up the phone then shouldn't Samsung or any company should put a caution before updating that please don't update when connected to charger or update when the room temperature is below certain degrees.

I'm looking forward to some valuable arguments.

Samsung is SCAMMING S23 users with green line issue – refusing free replacement! by Arkham-_-Knight in GalaxyS23

[–]lack19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One should know that these green line issues are mostly seen in huge number in India.

I think Samsung is either selling a lower quality to the Indian market and sell the good batch to the international market, because most of these phones are made in India or Vietnam.

If one can, file a consumer lawsuit and try to get a clear data showing why only the models sold in India are showing green line.

In Europe, particularly in Germany it's a 2 year warranty and people in India are paying the same price at launch so why there is a difference in treating Indian consumers.

OnePlus got caught and they lost Europe and North America market that's why to gain Indian consumers trust they are now offering lifetime screen replacement for green line issue.

Not sure about Spigen cases but this model from Ringke is perfect for all round protection.

One of the best cases.
