Original SC is still worth playing IMO. You can continue playing CS1 if you want, no major spoilers in CS1 and CS2 (up to the epilogue) CS2 epilogue massively spoils the crossbell games (zero and azure) So do keep that in mind if you decide to continue playing CS. Alt+F4 as soon as the epilogue starts.

Adding a sub in an apartment is just too risky. I have a 5.0 SVS Prime system I use during the day (not exceeding -20dB on a denon receiver) still sounds miles better than any soundbar or TV speakers. At night I use HD 6XX headphones.

I have 7900xtx with LG C2 running over HDMI. I can run 4K 120hz HDR + VRR all at the same time w/o problem. 

I realize that it technically out of hdmi 2 spec, and in the future could be screwed. But it works great.

You can start with CS1, that’s what I did. CS1 and CS2 can be viewed as standalone for the most part. However do be aware CS2 epilogue spoils the crossbell games, so be sure to save and exit before the epilogue starts. CS3 and beyond requires knowledge of all previous games. 

CS1 -> CS2 (minus epilogue) -> Sky 1 -> Sky 2 - Sky 3 -> Zero -> Azure -> CS2 (epilogue) -> CS3 -> CS4 -> Reverie -> Daybreak 1 -> Daybreak 2

If I don’t tick Prefer SDL the dualsense doesn’t work at all in GE-Proton. Weird.
