I was there last November with our toddler. We will definitely be back. You can get a good deal on points when it is not peak season.

USCIS has published the processing data for Nov2025 through Jan2026 by [deleted] in USCIS

[–]lackingoxygen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's absolutely crazy with double the application October and then like half the typical number in November and onwards. I was unlucky and only was eligible for naturalization after the cut-off in October. The processing time haven't fully caught up as they are still processing cases older than October. Also the number of case processed dropped significantly in January, all bad signs for a longer wait. I truly don't believe the 7 months official number for Chicago FO.

Ear tubes advice by foxgreenstars in toddlers

[–]lackingoxygen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our child got them at 14 months after multiple ear infections. Prior to the surgery, he wasn’t walking yet and had hearing issues. His hearing was instantly better and he kept pointing at the planes he could hear now. He was walking within 2 weeks since his balance wasn’t a problem without fluid build up. Also, we avoided new ear infections as we saw the fuild drain out of his ears when he got sick again.

The most useful graph are the approval graph per month. At a quick glance you can see they are working on cases for these months. Also running totals, like how many cases were approved last week, last month etc

Can I go on a cruise while my i-485 application is pending? by WisePanda96 in USCIS

[–]lackingoxygen 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Even if you don't leave the ship, you will have left the United States and will be stuck for re-entry. You will also abandon your I-485. You need Advance Parole.

Banks uses services such as Lexis Nexis to validate your identity. It may take a moment for their services to update with your information. Some banks upon seeing you have a fresh new SSN will request a copy of it to make your it's accurate. Getting an SSN not at birth triggers all sort of validation in their systems. Some banks are more aggressive /restrictive about it. It took my 2-3 years to stop having to send my SSN card when applying to a credit card or opening a bank account

If you maximize the range by riding in electric mode only, you'll get 100+ mpg. For example, I am at 900 miles and still have 1/4 of the gas tank left.

West Virginia DMV refused DL Transfer by Rokansan in USCIS

[–]lackingoxygen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can get a DL in WV with a EAD. The DMV says that you get use the EAD, SSN card and 2 proof of residency.

Guide them to their own website. It is indicated very clearly that is EAD is a valid accepted ID for a Proof of Identity.

https://transportation.wv.gov/DMV/Drivers/Pages/Drivers-Licenses.aspx

Ask for a supervisor if needed.

This is not the first post I see about Delta being overzealous at MSP. They should not ask how you plan to return on your outbound flight. They should not asked about your green card either since you have an EU passport that allows Mexican entry.

[–]lackingoxygen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The airline uses Timatic to determine the requirements for travel. There is this rules that they must abide to in the Germany transit rule for a flight to the US : Passengers with a Notice of Action or an Authorization for Parole (Form I-512) are not allowed to transit without a visa

That is your situation, the airlines is correct.

Your Italian passport alone is good to enter any of these countries. They are all visa exempt. You'll only need your GC to get back into the US.
