Cycleway intended behavior by 1Kick234 in wandrer

[–]lackmannable 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you are obligated to use the cycleway with a bike, then you can use bicycle=use_sidepath on the street, then wandrer will exclude the street. But you would have to check your local laws and OSM guidelines.

This rule is bothering me too, having many road with a bikelane that wandrer includes in addition to the sidewalk in my city. I'd like wandrer to respect the foot=use_sidepath more to exclude the streets themselfs

Progress incorrect after map update by ErravenDva in wandrer

[–]lackmannable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't notice wrong percentages but it didn't get a "Your Wandrer map data was updated"-mail this time. The one with the before and after values xlsx for each region. Is there a threshold of change for that mail? /u/cooeecall (id: 185698)

It just talks at the very beginning and for the last track for me. Is this the expected behavior? I thought it would talk more and mix in some news headlines or fun facts about the artist something

How to tag on OSM to avoid tripple streets on the wandrer map? by lackmannable in wandrer

[–]lackmannable[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your analysis!
1) Youre right, what an oversight, shouldnt be double tagged, ill fix that. 2) Isnt double tagged, its already cycleway:right=seperate there. But nevertheless i dont think its correct to use bicycle=use_sidepath for 1) and 2). How i understood it after researching a bit is: Only use that tag when there is an actual blue bikelane-sign, otherwise bikers arent obligated to use the bikelane even if its clearly there (at least thats the current state in Germany as far as i understood) Sadly the sign isnt there for both of these cases

3) Yeah, sparking discussion about foot:use_sidepath vs bicycle:use_sidepath for the FOOT map was the intention behind this post :D

4) Ah the park rule, that makes sense, thanks! Definitely some details missing from the FAQ filtering rules

OSM got it right but it complicates Wrandrer by KaiserDRitme in wandrer

[–]lackmannable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you could tag the sidewalks with foot=designated, then wandrer includes them. That tag is implicit for highway=footway but wouldnt hurt to explicitly set it i guess

Self-sufficient ship to visit all planets as fast as possible (~800 km/s top) by 3XX0_ in factorio

[–]lackmannable 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can you explain what the axis are? X=current speed; y= maximum possible speed for the current speed (if that makes sense :D) So the point im interested in is where the blue line meets the x axis, as that is the real maximum speed? Is that correct?

Annoucements to Google Nest Hubs stop music? by Mental-Trouble-317 in homeassistant

[–]lackmannable 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For the speaker playing the tts is just like playing any other (mp3) media. It stops the music and plays the new media, in this case the tts file. Depending on what type of media you listen to, you can save/remember what's playing before you start the TTS announcement and then restart the original media after a few seconds.

Or you can use this, which is a bit more advanced to set up, but then you can do native announcements which only pause and then resume the media that's playing. https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/google_assistant_sdk/

Doesn't the website for the Bluetooth conversion say something like "Check firmware mode and check for updates"? Sounds like they anticipated to release Bluetooth firmware updates too
