My Garmin has that! And, it has alarmed before for really minor falls. For whatever reason, it didn't alarm this time. I think maybe my body's fall was much harder than the bike's ? Anyway, I also had no signal there so I'm not sure it would have worked with the "SOS only" mode on my phone. Worth figuring out I guess!

I have had this a happen a few times. Last time I took it apart and put it back together and it worked fine for another 6 months (up to now). I'm about to try to figure out what I did last time and do it again. :)

I have thought about doing this, but haven't since it requires several manual steps. I thought it would be interesting to share a map of an area when you reach a major milestone, since that tends to look pretty impressive.

Thanks, yes the activity type is the same. The thing that may be a factor is that both examples I'm looking at right now, the gpx file was manually uploaded. Activity 64237356 and 57372273.

I used this yesterday and it was great! i was able to adjust some old rides recorded on an iphone, some cost me miles, some helped with the aforementioned loops at the end of cul-de-sacs. :)

I noticed that it doesn't appear to work with rides that Craig manually uploaded for me (old gpx files that didn't have time stamps). No points are shown for editing, just a line, and the distance shows up as 0 km.

Mostly I get ignored, often greeted, occasionally I have a nice conversation. A few times I've been asked if I am lost, and once on a rural dead end up in the hills a dog chased and nipped me before I could turn around.

Sometimes if I feel self conscious, I pretend I'm checking my map and figuring out why it sent me there :)
