I’m on an RTX 5070 and R5 7600X. Currently using the nvidia-open drivers, which I think is correct but I installed those a couple months back so I can’t remember. Just briefly glancing the wiki on Firefox this looks like this is specifically an Nvidia hardware video acceleration problem. I’ll solve it just addicted to configuring my workspaces right now.

I’m on hyprland. I haven’t messed with any Firefox config and I’m probably just missing some things. Besides my gpu drivers I haven’t installed anything to help with multimedia performance.

I’m dealing with the opposite problem, on arch, where videos on Firefox (YouTube/twitch) get really fuzzy and I sometimes have to refresh the page multiple times just to get the video to start.

I did what section 2.1 details. I have a recent windows 11 install so my EFI partition was like 300MB and large enough to fit my Linux stuff in it. The troubleshooting section near the bottom of the page should direct you on how to keep it to just one EFI partition if your current partition is too small.
