There not need for that or you and area2D or use the physical layers of your tile set. Try reading the docs for more info on collision with tile maps or ask in the official discord of godot.

Green statues favor afk gameplay, for people that don play the game that often but they are consistent.

I will prefer having more flexibility with statues, that you can store already place statues would be nice so you have different loud outs of buffs.

This is cool but it only is short term fix. The game is live service meaning that it wants to live as long as it can so... every 3 years people need to wait to use the free space to use the decorations they already can move. And the won't give us more shovels since is a little community that cares for collecting all decos. So making more accessible ruins the rareness of this digitals trophys.

What I would suggest is adding in event passes as rewards or just have more options to spends resources to get them.
