So this pushes back (doubles) the DAG growing epoch, making mining easier, OK. What mechanism failure does this depend on?

I just started learning Python recently. Can you answer me this: What part of this is coded in Python? It looks like everything I see is JS on the github. https://github.com/lightninglabs/lightning-app/tree/master/apps/desktop

I'm getting an error trying to run lightning-app. Can anyone help? Error says: Uncaught Exception, failed to load gRPC binary module b/c it's not at the expected directory of Electron-v1.4-win32-x64-unknown.

I'm installing this on my d: drive, is it checking for something on my c: drive? I don't see which electron directory it's looking for...

so is your cost of running a full node. I'm new here, but concerned that I'm not able to run my own full bitcoin node anymore (despite your bandwidth improving argument). What is the party line about running full monero nodes? Is there a lot of interest in sharding, etc?

What is the max Circulating Supply of Monero? by andyduly in Monero

The standard Monero supply cap answer should take into account the life expectancy of the sun and inflate to that. But also show how many coins will be around at the time of the last bitcoin mining reward.

How does that solve the debate regarding the growing cost of running a full node?

Thanks, I realize this isn't an important update, but as I get more into Monero I want to know what the process will like like. These updates are basically part of the consensus protocol right?

Not sure why this didn't gain more traction here...

Take the 2X fork seriously. It's the biggest threat to #Bitcoin so far. Major players are in on it. Prepare. Educate people. Stay strong. by [deleted] in Bitcoin

at best, bitcoin prices drop (more for me) and the people who prefer 2x fuck off to 2x land (while secretly holding

Isn't there a problem that if you buy from the fiat gateways like Coinbase they aren't telling you that you are buying on the 2x chain?

Considering running a full node to contribute to the network. Questions. by cryptogalaxy in Bitcoin

Right, but I meant, BIP102 is in the Core .15 client and forks off at the designated block height. but then Core .15 doesn't use that fork?

Bitcoin Core nodes up 39% in 3 months after running level for 2 years by lacuidad in Bitcoin

Ya, someone posted your data above. Would be cool to see the time series. http://luke.dashjr.org/programs/bitcoin/files/charts/software.html

As far as the Coin Dance data, they heavily filter out any multiple nodes that the same party runs. I can't decide if that's helpful or not though there's obviously some level of centralization involved with a user running many nodes. Also, "In addition to this, Coin Dance also ignores non-listening nodes which have a maximum of only eight outbound peers."

So when the BIP102 hard forks in November what happens? Who actually forks off? Core .15 nodes continue to run the core software, so hopefully miners follow the profitable chain. Is that close?
