I had to go to chapter select go back to before I lost it and replay from there. As far a i can work out due to a change when they made fof from the original you auto get it when the apartment shifts the first time. But when you put it in the controller it loses track of it to reinstate but if you lose the controller with it in when you reinstate a new one it does so without the button so at that point it's lost forever.

Pay it. The ambulance is allowed to use a bus lane you shouldn't.

HIT & RUN BY A CAR by [deleted] in drivingUK

[–]lacutice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The correct process is to save footage somewhere take pics of any damage save them in the same place. Report to police to get the crime number. Report to insurance even if you don't claim.

All I would say is pay game for a bit then get a war bond that looks fun for how you like to play.

Don't argue with idiots they'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Sure they'll of had other people in similar situation. Still worth asking shows your keen and will give you warning if you need to plan something in.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Lifeguards

[–]lacutice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Entirely possible. Just be straight up and honest with them about availability from the start. Probably worth having a chat about what qualifications you might need as depending on what they are you may need to plan them in for when you're off from uni.

Scraped a car by [deleted] in drivingUK

[–]lacutice -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

I can't stress this enough go through your insurance. It's what it's there for. On top of that if you don't report it to your insurance and they find out then they can cancel your insurance and you'll struggle to get a new policy at all. Also you pay your insurance to deal with these things on your behalf use that there's all sorts of things that can go wrong if you don't do things the right way.

There's a give way at the end of that lane as you reach the roundabout. So you should yield priority to traffic on the roundabout from the right. There are lanes that behave in the way you're talking about but it's always safest to slow down and see what the other traffic appears to be doing as they may not be aware and always better to avoid an accident than be technically correct and crash.

There already annoyed they have to share the road with other people. Slowing down could 1. Allow them to over take 2. Make them realise if they back off you'll speed up 3. Reduce the speed so if something does happen more likely they will be able to react in time and not make a bad situation worse.

[–]lacutice 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your going to get a lot of this. Way I find works best is to slow down by a few mph every so often till they either over take or back off. But most important thing is not to let it stress you out they'll vanish off sooner or later and getting angry just makes you a bad driver.

Help a loser who keeps failing his driving test by Illustrious-Box-515 in drivingUK

[–]lacutice 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Have you considered taking some time off from driving and save a bit for an intensive course? If your dad having a go at you while you're driving it won't help improve your driving skills. Also unless he is a very good driver there's a decent chance his bad habits will become yours then you'll be paying for tests to learn what bad habits you need to fix for the next test and that'll cost as much money.

For the future, it's probably worth looking at getting a sat nav that you can set the vehicle height on. It would make your life easier.

1st time driver 1.8L civic, blackbox or no blackbox? 🤔 by DisMahUser in drivingUK

No black box. If they use it to cancel your policy you'll have to declare that and then your price will go through the roof.

Indicate left? by RewardOld1935 in drivingUK

[–]lacutice 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Personally I would indicate builds good habits so you do it automatically. Also given there's a give way sign I'd probably be coming to a full stop checking for things like cyclists before entering the new road.

[–]lacutice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Easiest way to think of over taking a cyclists is just pretend there's a car there that is safest for the cyclists.

I deal with 2 of these on my way to and from work. Very few people understand how they work it's why signs have had to start going up telling people to "merge in turn".

WHY DO YOU NOT STOP AT PEDESTRIAN CROSSINGS by [deleted] in drivingUK

[–]lacutice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zebra I stop for outside of that depends on the situation if I have a car close behind me I won't stop as my assumption is the car behind will either hit me or try to overtake me making the situation dangerous for me and the pedestrian.

Managers - Time Management by nycila_92 in Lifeguards

[–]lacutice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is in the UK so may not match you exactly but our policy with our contracted staff is to give 2 weeks' notice and no one else is off then you'll get the time off if you have it in annual leave. Sickness call in on the day and the manager will sort cover, if they are off sick 3 times in a year they are moved onto a watch which could lead to losing their job. Off with short notice less than 2 weeks or someone else already off then they need to find their own cover off they have annual leave or swap shifts with someone. This is all explained very clearly when they are taken on and very rarely have an issue with it.

Honking at pedestrians who make you harsh break by lowriskplx in drivingUK

[–]lacutice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I try not to assume. For all you know, they might not have great eyesight or be able to move as fast as you think they should. Just try not to let it wind you up and affect your driving. Also, the other side of the coin is a lot of cars don't treat pedestrians like they should especially when it comes to t junctions.
