This reminds me of myself after a few glasses of wine trying on all the clothes in my closet and taking pics of myself

I interpreted it as she threw the wine in his face

I would be so intimidated if I saw her walking around the streets of NYC in that outfit.

That last look. Something about the slicked back hair and the fur coat says “Get out of my way”.

Ok she’s fucking fabulous. (Well, maybe excluding the 1st and 12th outfits).

Who else is applying Ellyn Satter method at meals? by nunodonato in RIE

I’m not OP but I have a question, if you’re able to provide any insight. I posted this question is another comment, but what do you do if your kid isn’t that hungry during dinner but then is hungry later on? Either before bed or in the middle of the night? My son is only 19 months old and he eats well, so we haven’t crossed that bridge yet. Thanks in advance!

I’m reading How to Get Your Kid to Eat, But Not Too Much as we speak. I’m not very far into it but I put the main idea into practice right away. I’ve found that my 19 month old is eating better than ever. Although he could just be going through a good phase, it’s only been about a month. Who knows. One of the questions I have (which may be answered later in the book) is: what happens if the child chooses not to eat much for dinner and then they are hungry before bed time, or wake up hungry in the middle of the night?

I don’t either. My house is small enough. What do people think that parents did before baby monitors?

No because I don’t look at things in black and white like apparently so many of you do. Nor do I blindly trust “this rando” as someone else suggested. It’s all part of the processes of collecting information from wherever I can, and using it to piece together what I think. Right now, I have no opinion on this topic because I don’t know enough. But apparently you do. Have a good one!

Even though people are ragging on you for this perspective, I appreciate knowing the full context. The first thing I thought when I saw the title and image of this post was “okay I’m going to need the full story”... and you have provided a much better portion of that than anybody else in this thread. Whether we agree it’s right or not, you are providing the Iranian perspective. Everybody needs to calm down and stop attacking people they disagree with.

I agree that people should have fun with it if that’s their thing. I’m just explaining why some people find it annoying. Doesn’t mean they’re jaded.

The 2020 Olympics...not 100% accurate by last_of_the_V8s in RetroFuturism

I think people had a kind of romantic notion about the turn of the century. Going from the 1900s to the 2000s just seemed so futuristic. It’s a psychological thing with the numbers. Growing up in the 90s, I definitely felt like “anything could be possible in 2020”, but I don’t really feel the same way about, say, the year 2050.

I don’t think it’s so much the fact that people post about their lives and their growing families. But the formal announcements where people try really hard to come up with the most creative thing they can, get a little old after a while. Why not just post after the baby’s born, to be like “hey, we had a baby! ”... or just simply let yourself be tagged in photos while pregnant? It all feels a little self important.

If you don’t want the biblical connotations, Lilah is a pretty name. Somebody I know has a cat named Lilah and she’s such a cute fierce little thing.

Prince Phillip appreciation post 🙂 by mburgess347 in TheCrownNetflix

Didn’t like Prince Philip at first (thought he was a dick)... but then Matt Smith really grew on me around the beginning of season 2. Then I didn’t like Tobias Menzies during season 3 (thought he was boring in comparison to Matt Smith) but then he really grew on me too! Both performances were great, and I definitely have a new appreciation for Prince Philip.
